Posted July 16, 20159 yr comment_134373 Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive lineman Dominic Picard was fined for unnecessary roughness towards Montreal Alouette Alan-Michael Cash. http://cfl.ca/article/five-players-fined-after-week-3-incidents
July 16, 20159 yr comment_134374 I remember Suitor saying something about how Picard might get hit in the pocketbook after one play but I can't remember what happened.
July 16, 20159 yr comment_134375 I was at the game, and knew he was flagged a few times, but does anyone know what exactly he did for the fine?
July 16, 20159 yr comment_134380 More than worth it, IMO. I want people literally scared of our OL....
July 16, 20159 yr comment_134386 Was that right when the game ended when the Als players were going after Willy when he just took a knee to run out the clock?
July 16, 20159 yr comment_134389 More than worth it, IMO. I want people literally scared of our OL.... Yep it makes the OLs job easier if the defensive linemen are worried about the kind of **** someone like Picard might do than actually doing their jobs. Let's hope it rubs off on all of them.
July 16, 20159 yr comment_134390 More than worth it, IMO. I want people literally scared of our OL.... I remember Chris Schultz saying how back in his day no one wanted to play against Winnipeg's D because they were so intimidating...
July 16, 20159 yr comment_134402 It's nice when people other than our fans are scared of our OL..... Hey the QBs and RBs on the team were more scared than anyone

July 16, 20159 yr comment_134411 More than worth it, IMO. I want people literally scared of our OL.... Nah, I'd rather have an oline that could block. Picard hasn't been very good, he's either getting beat, holding, or doing stuff to get fined. I think there's a good reason Sask dumped him.
July 17, 20159 yr Author comment_134502 Surprised Tristan Jackson was not included in the group as he seems to have a bit of a dirty edge to him. In the BC game alone he took an unnecessary shot below the knee of receiver Cameron Morrah and probably ended his season. In the same game the slow-mo camera showed him deliberately lowering his helmet to to make contact with another BC players helmet and ended up concussing or stunning himself. These head shots are pretty clearly defined by the loud pop of plastic on plastic and yet both the refs. and the announcers do their best to ignore them as long as a QB is not involved. If the CFL is serious about protecting players they should not be discriminating by position.

July 17, 20159 yr comment_134517 Ironic- that some complain about the "dirty hits" by the players of other teams (like Chip Cox) yet applaud the antics of our Picard.
July 17, 20159 yr comment_134522 Ironic- that some complain about the "dirty hits" by the players of other teams (like Chip Cox) yet applaud the antics of our Picard. While I won't applaud a cheap hit or tactic, what I will applaud is bringing a bit of a nasty attitude that's been lacking at the position for awhile.
July 17, 20159 yr comment_134529 Ironic- that some complain about the "dirty hits" by the players of other teams (like Chip Cox) yet applaud the antics of our Picard. Every fan base does it. Thing I always liked about the angry Frenchman is what u see is what u get.
July 17, 20159 yr comment_134556 A nasty attitude is great, but a cheap shot is a cheap shot IMO. If it makes people pause .. makes people think twice about taking liberties with our players .. slows someone down for just a second .. and doesn't hurt OUR team .. then I have no issues with it at all.
July 17, 20159 yr comment_134571 I don't think there is anything wrong with being mean. It's the unsportsmanlike or unnecessary roughness penalties that hurt us. As you've probably seen before, givin him the bidsness also hurts the team. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eslz06J9hFw
