July 17, 20159 yr comment_134572 @Real_ESPNLeBrun: As @TSNAaronWard reported, Mike Ribeiro returns to Nashville on a two-year deal worth $3.5 million on average per season Since he has settled "out of court" you have to wonder if he is coming back.
July 25, 20159 yr comment_136395 @theScore: The Capitals have signed Braden Holtby to a 5-year, $30.5M contract extension. http://t.co/ZQrXKhgSINhttp://t.co/trAEqHW7aB @StatsCentre: #Canadiens 1 year contract for Alex Semin will pay him $1.1M which is less than half what the #Hurricanes will pay him as part of his buyout
July 25, 20159 yr comment_136438 He's probably worth that if he p l ayed only PP time. I'd have no part of him. Complete waste of talent.
July 25, 20159 yr comment_136449 @SpectorsHockey: #NJDevils re-sign D Larsson to six-year, $25M deal http://t.co/d8MK8OPpNO
July 25, 20159 yr comment_136457 Very low risk deal. At that price Pens should have signed him. Their top 6 is full. I'm not sure I'd want that guy anywhere near my team. I suspect Rutherford's history with him precluded him from considering Semin. He and Therrien seem like a match made in heaven...
July 25, 20159 yr comment_136458 Here is what I think these 5 contracts should be negotiated for... Ladd Current 4.4m 2m more 6.6 per for 6Buff Current 5.2 2.3m more 7.5 per for 6Trouba Current .894m 5.7m more 6.6 per for 8Scheifele Current .863 2.5m more 3.333 per for 3Lowry Current.8282 2m more 2.8 per for 3 14.5m more than this year as cap hits. These would all kick in for the 2016-2017 season. I really don't believe in the no-trade clauses but I guess they are here to stay. I would offer Trouba one but Buff and Ladd would only get the first 3 years as no trades.
July 25, 20159 yr comment_136460 Pretty low amount. I'd sign Tlusty for that. If you mean the 1.1 per, I would also sign Stempniak to that as well.
July 26, 20159 yr comment_136538 Pretty low amount. I'd sign Tlusty for that. If you mean the 1.1 per, I would also sign Stempniak to that as well. If the Jets want Stempy I think he will be back but looking at the new crop that will be at camp it might be tough to get a spot.
July 26, 20159 yr comment_136595 I think a full TC and he would look really nice on the 4th line and even 3rd in case of injuries....I'd sign him for 2 year at at 1m to 1.25m per year. I'd rather sign him than Tlusty.
July 26, 20159 yr comment_136671 How do you know stemp would accept that. The fact he had not signed anywhere and it's almost august suggests he's asking for too much. Stemp and tlusty both can go elsewhere
July 27, 20159 yr comment_136985 UPDATE: The New York Rangers and center Derek Stepan have avoided salary arbitration and reached an agreement on a six-year, $39 Million contract extension, which is an annual cap hit of $6.5 Million per season. Also, Nashville and forward Colin Wilson have agreed to a four-year, $15.75 Million deal.
July 27, 20159 yr comment_136992 "Alex Chiasson of the Ottawa Senators has been awarded a US$1.2 million, one-year deal in arbitration on Sunday. The restricted free-agent forward and the Senators went to arbitration with Chiasson asking for over $2 million and the team asking for $1 million. Chiasson was part of the trade that sent Jason Spezza to the Dallas Stars last summer. The 24-year-old had 11 goals and 15 assists in 76 games this past season." 25pts for 1.2m? An arbitration win for OTT.

July 29, 20159 yr comment_137556 Pens did well today. Canucks did not. Good deal for Eric. Surprised he got a three year deal but he will do well there I think.
