June 7, 201510 yr comment_123606 crap...hope some of those new guys can be as explosive a returner as Stouds.
June 7, 201510 yr comment_123615 I guess the only silver lining is it might give one of the new guys... Anderson, Veltung, Gordon.... a chance to make the team and see what they can do.... but definitely a big loss...
June 7, 201510 yr Author comment_123619 Other silver lining is that this happened fairly early in TC. Still 3 weeks before the season starts, so could minimize number of regular season games he misses.

June 7, 201510 yr Author comment_123623 3 weeks would mean he could be ready for the first game of the season. But I bet he misses 1-2 games.
June 7, 201510 yr comment_123631 Just please please don't give me nightmares of Washington turning the ball over in our red zone this year; please
June 7, 201510 yr comment_123632 I think they've had Gordon practicing returns, haven't they? Anderson, Veltung, Gorden and Cotton.
June 7, 201510 yr comment_123637 3 weeks would mean he could be ready for the first game of the season. But I bet he misses 1-2 games.Don't forget to resurrect this thread if he does indeed miss one or two games
June 7, 201510 yr comment_123638 Here's a golden opportunity for Veltung to step up and make his case for a job, if he ever gets off the "owie squad". I've been impatienty waiting for him to show his stuff, but so far, all promise, no performance.
June 7, 201510 yr comment_123650 The way the Big Blue injury luck is it will be more like 10-12 weeks.

June 7, 201510 yr comment_123653 Is it time to upgrade our trainers? I know some injuries are going to happen ... its the ones from the off-seadon layoff, from not being in mid-season shape, those are the ones that bug me Would better pre-season gym work cut down on training camp injuries?

Most of these guys aren't really injured. They're "veteran moves" aka veteran players resting their bodies for the regular season. Let the guys fighting for a roster spot show what they can do.

I've thought this for a few years now. It seems to me we have way more injuries than other teams and it takes way longer for the players to come back from an injury.

Let's not go all Nate here, this is football and it's not as if his season is finished ...
June 7, 201510 yr comment_123682 Edmonton had five or six guys leave there practice today so I think it something that happens in every camp. We just don't pay attention to other clubs as much.
