Say we successfully picked Waggoner tomorrow and say the Ticats is very much interested maybe because

(1) Austin kinda hoarding every NI LB available and

(2) his connection with the organization (dad played for Ticats, I believe.

Are we willing to trade him for a defensive tackle maybe?

He also has a connection to the Bombers. His grandfather played for the Bombers.

and his great-great grandfather Honus played shortstop for the Pirates.

And his great grand father Porter was a regular on the Grand Ole Opry.

  • Maybe not, but at least we're on the same highway now, and when get into the fast lane to pass Wally's vehicle, we see the passenger seat is empty. That passenger is in our car. And I smile.

we'll be picking 9th anyway so it's not that big a deal...   But seriously, wow...

  • It's nice to be fighting about who fits where instead of what player we should pick off the scrap heap to fill a role.

The more I read, the more I want wagoneer as a bomber... Pedigree, size and us college trained? Might even be worth a 1st rounder if the class isn't as deep..

Not to mention his Uncle Lyle was a regular on The Carol Burnett Show.

I'm assuming the Bombers are interested in Waggoner, but will it be BC and Ottawa who we're competing with?

The question then becomes, is the guy worth a solid pick, like a 2nd?

Count me in as being interested.

The more I see of Waggoner, the more interested I become.

Clearly the footage he's got out there is him playing against a weaker level of competition and you can really see it based on the amount of plays he makes on poorly thrown balls but he still looks like he's got a great nose for the ball and great cover speed.

If Waggoner is worth a third....jump it....I would expect the RB's to give him a good look and maybe up the ante to a second rounder...Walters would have to really want this guy bad to go that high...BUT ya never can tell.

They don't need to up the ante. They only need to match our offer.

Didn't know that...Shows how much I know about supplementals....If that's the case then we have to offer a second rounder I think that's too high..
