And since they claim moving disco 950 years into the future is to free them from canon, it sort of doesn’t make sense that they’re developing a sec 31 show in the old disco era Report

A cheap way of explaining why we never heard of it in future ST series'. I mean, it was well known that Michael "started" the Klingon war and that she was the First Officer on Discovery. It just seems a reach to make the entire ship classified. Spore drive, sure, it was already classified. Report

Most likely Alex Kurtzman would end up producing new films if that happened. The bigger picture is helping CBS in the so called “streaming wars” by making them a bigger player. A combined entity would also make a better acquisition for the bigger dogs. Report
