Posted March 23, 201510 yr comment_112853 Damien Cox ✔ @DamoSpin Follow Sounds like MLSE set to do a lease deal for Argos at BMO. Sadly, not for this season. 11:29 AM - 23 Mar 2015 It seems as if a deal may be nearing.
March 24, 201510 yr comment_112855 Now they just have to get Braley to sell to MLSE before the Argos become a complete train wreck. Hope this is sooner rather than later.
March 24, 201510 yr comment_112858 Don't they need to go thru significant renos in order to accommodate a cfl field?
March 24, 201510 yr comment_112860 Don't they need to go thru significant renos in order to accommodate a cfl field? That's part of the renovations that are now underway iirc.
March 24, 201510 yr comment_112861 The sooner the better. Even watching Toronto home games on TV is painful - I can't imagine watching it live.
March 24, 201510 yr comment_112862 The renos to make it a CFL sized venue were supposed to cost an additional $10 million which no level of government was willing to cover IIRC. Where Bluto when you need him to explain it all?
March 24, 201510 yr comment_112874 The renos are happening now. Just Google the place really and in reality the venue was built to accommodate football later. TFC fans will say otherwise but the place was built with football in mind too

TFC fans will say otherwise but the place was built with football in mind too The renos to make BMO football ready aren't happening now. That's the third phase which is not set in stone at this point. It will cost $30 million to make BMO football-friendly (retractable seats and I'm assuming locker room facilities for the Argos). $10 million has been secured from the city, $10 million from the province, but their remains $10 million funding gap. MLSE will not fund that so it will probably come from CFL teams (that's my guess).
