January 22, 201510 yr comment_104392 Good for him. True pro...great WBB both on and off the field. Wish him nothing but the best of luck pursuing dreams, and pray that we eventually see him back in Blue and Gold...
January 22, 201510 yr comment_104393 Sigh. Boy, I got to step 4 of the 5 steps pretty quick. Come back Ian, come back! Shoot, now I'm back at step 3. Frick that makes me angry. Oh dear, I'm not coping as well as I thought. Which step is the one that involves Captain Morgan and a jug of Fruitopia?
January 22, 201510 yr comment_104397 The guy was a damned good player for the Bombers, his loss will be felt but you can't wish him ill luck trying the NFL.
January 22, 201510 yr comment_104398 Classy player both on and off the field, best of luck with the NFL dream. If it doesn't work out, i suspect he will be back here. Hope for Wilds sake, it does work.
January 22, 201510 yr comment_104401 D.amn. Knew it was about to happen, but d.amn anyways. Going to miss him. His bandwagon was easy to jump on and it was a fun ride for us. Too bad for us…he's really the type of player we need here. Going to the NFL. THAT league…the one with 8 1/2 mins. of football /game, but pays about $200-$300 a minute/game. Tough to compete with that. His effort paid off…and that's how it should be.
January 22, 201510 yr comment_104402 Good for Wild. Bad for us. Good luck to him though. He'll be greatly missed.
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104411 Heres hoping he sticks for him and his family.. But if not, hope we keep a spot open for him..
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104433 Good for Wild. Bad for us. Good luck to him though. He'll be greatly missed. Ditto
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104438 Never imagined that he'd get an NFL shot, and I'd very surprised if he stuck but good for Wild and I hope he does well.
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104447 I'd have to think he makes the team as a special teamer... back up safety (probably SS, not sure where he played in college)... probably using his long snapping as an advantage... all the best Ian Wild...
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104450 He'd be a great special teams guy. There's always room for guys that are as committed to being a true pro as that guy.
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104454 Any word on where he might sign?Pittsburgh or Tampa Bay. Thought Minnesota was giving him a look ..
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104455 This is win-win. If he makes it in the NFL, good PR for us, if not, and we've treated him well, he will come back and feel more at home. In any case, good on him.
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104470 Gonna miss those hard licks he handed out. He sure kept the oppositions offence honest. Some fans were saying he was a 'tweener' and wouldn't last long down there BUT a hard hitting guy like he is should position up somewhere in the nfl. Most likely special teams. Good luck to him and hope he makes lots of coin. IF he doesn't stick, the door is always wide open for him in the Peg.
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104482 Meh, I don't think he's a tweener... I think he'll make a very good back up at SS and Special Teamer for any NFL team...
January 23, 201510 yr comment_104487 This is win-win. If he makes it in the NFL, good PR for us, if not, and we've treated him well, he will come back and feel more at home. In any case, good on him. Just like two former Bombers making the two biggest plays to get the Seahawks in the Super Bowl was last weekend!
