Love the name.  CRONK.

CRONK!!!

What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers?

That he has to compete for his job in training camp.  Which he would have had to do anyways.

Fitzy has a million uses. Guys like that? They'll play anywhere on the field and they'll try harder than most of the guys coming outta the US anyhow...

Have to agree.

It's been far too long since we had a Cronk to talk about.

It's all about the Cronk.

Another quick signing that is keeping the collective fan base's head spinning.

And no talk of 195K.

Sweet.

Sweet Cronk!

Well, he was a character in Emperor's New Groove, and I'm not sure if that was an actual spin off, or if someone just did a JPG up for some reason. I did a Google Image search because I knew I'd heard the name before, but couldn't remember when or where....

What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers?

Do you not remember how bad our long snapping was when Ian Wild was injured?

I remember how bad our linebacking was when he was injured as well :(

I'm not defending Fitzgerald here. I agree that he has bad performance when he took over the LS when Wild was hurt.

There are people here who are supporters of Fitzgerald and the question is more directed to them.

I'm not sure the Bombers will carry 3 FB on gameday. So my guess he will be cut.

Gotta stop being so critical of Fitzy, in terms of offense. Stop thinking of things purely in terms of Offense and Defense. You need the ST demon guys, and Fitzy's a real good one. If nothing else, he's real quality depth.

Doubt Fitzgerald makes it through training camp... can't long snap and is just not fast enough - would have been a good 6th round pick

Would say Briggs and Cornell have better chance at being 'long snapping depth' after Cronk

We absolutely had to do this. Fitzgerald can be a backup long-snapper (maybe ) and can play some tight end.

Is that a real Disney movie?

Yes it is. It was a direct-to-video sequel to Emperor's New Groove. Patrick Warburton did the voice of Kronk in both movies.

Yeah, that's right. Feels like an Arby's night.

We can add his name to the list of phonetic Bombers: Crump, Bonk and Czap.
