I'd welcome him back.  We haven't really been able to nail down that DI defensive end that we would like to have... might not be a bad thing to go back to the Vega/Mainor rotation.

 

He was also a leader on the defence, which could be helpful.

that goes against the type of defense they've built here. They prefer the versatile guys who can play outside or inside, and Vega fits that. He's played inside at times for the bombers. Bottom line he's better than Mainor so if he wants to come back sign the man. 

I'd like to see him back, based on his twitter account he still seems like a Bomber at heart. 

255 seems a bit light to be wrestling with 320 interior linemen, if he's an upgrade over Mainor then sure.

He'll probably wait and try to get a new deal before exploring a CFL return.  The Pats did give a signing bonus so there were likely other teams interested.  Whether they are still interested... I guess we'll find out.

If the goal is to upgrade talent no matter how good the guys we have here are if he is better than sign him. Also he is a leader and type of guy you want in your locker room.

I read that he's practicing with the 1st unit D. I also read that's a damning indictment of how bad their DL is.

Agreed. I think that's missed on the team, same with what Bowman brought in that regard. Those guys were true pros when they were here and embodied what it (used to?) means to be a Bomber.

From what I've read on Mulumba sounds like he's going to be on the PR.

Bringing Vega back would be huge.  We can use him all over that line right now. 

apparently Jason Vega injured his knee in their last exhibition game hence he was released. same case as of ex-Ticats Justin Hickman.

Hopefully he can get healthy and get back here. Would love to have him back...
