The real issue is how much this just screams coaches desperately trying to save their own asses now that the GM has been canned. Hated the timing when it happened, hated it more now. Yeah 1-5 sucks, but with back to back with Hamilton on the way it was a great chance to get into a better spot... then with back to back against Edmonton not far away either it was yet another chance to improve their lot. Now we're seeing a bunch of what appear to be knee jerk moves and it really does look like they just threw in the towel already. I find it odd Goltz gets hooked before what would have been likely his two easiest starts. That I can't get over.
August 12, 201311 yr comment_14228 Tells you what the orgnization thinks of Goltz. Truly. There's a sense by the Powers That Be the kid won't ever be a long term starter for the Bombers. D3 qb for a reason. Burke in annointing him the starter "going forward" was just dumb made by a dumb coach.

I agree it would get them killed but could be an issue resolved with timing and practice. missing a wide open edwards or simpson in the flat is inexcusable though
