I'm not aware of any legal issues, that would prevent players from having some pickup football games just as you and I might, but the insurance question is legit. That being said, players workout all off season with injury risk, and many QB's and receivers get together for some pass drills throughout the winter. Report

I would guess the difference would be that it would be "off-season" time so if they got hurt, they are SOL. Report
