Posted December 23, 201311 yr comment_33874 I was at the Bomber Store yesterday. Season ticket girl told me she didn't have exact numbers but that season ticket sales are up this year, compared to the same time last year.
December 23, 201311 yr comment_33901 Color me surprised. ETA: Although, the person who bought my seasons happily renewed (and are Rider fans...), so maybe I am misinterpreting all the angst I'm feeling from fans? The gameday experience still doing it for people? Maybe they just love to revel in the Bomber's despair? ETAA: Although, they haven't made any sort of actual announcement... didn't they make tons last year pumping up season ticket sales? It'll be interesting to see final numbers if they post them.
December 23, 201311 yr comment_33908 One thing about us Bomber fans, all it takes is a nice mass firing to get everyone back on board and hopeful. Remember how low things were with Mike Kelly amongst the fans, and the next season started with a pile of sell-outs. We are a forgiving lot.
December 23, 201311 yr comment_33919 I'm not that surprised either. There have been a lot of changes made since the season ended and I think fans see things are being done differently from the past. Most of the moves have been well received and, probably the biggest factor of all, the media hatchets haven't been out much.
December 23, 201311 yr comment_33925 Winnipeg loves 2 things... The bombers and to ***** and moan... Most often about the bombers..
December 23, 201311 yr comment_33926 I'm actually a bit surprised by this, I knew the die hard fans would be back, but I figured with the stadium now being a year old, the season ticket base would drop a bit, well that and last seasons on field performance. Good news to hear though. Spuds I believe you forgot to add the Jets to your list.
December 24, 201311 yr comment_33933 not totally surprised. I personally know of at least 6 first time season ticket holders.
December 24, 201311 yr comment_33934 also, if this was those smelly creeps to the west increasing season ticket sales after an historically bad season, TSN would be kissing their fans' asses.
