Praying we have a wink-wink, nudge-nudge deal with Dough-Alert, and he'll be back in Feb...

First thoughts on Kohlert ... I'm hoping we can bring him back. Not a HUGE loss, but it stings a bit.

Kohlert... he's a FA and who knows he's leaning on going to his hometwon Saskatchewan

That hopefully is the only reason we didn't protect him. If he signs with Sask now I'd feel a lot better about this.

And despite what you say, Jade Etienne is no slouch either if they actually get him involved in the offense. Not to mention we have Aprile and Alli in the pipeline.

Our Canadian receivers need major upgrade now. One more hole to fill.

I'd be shocked at Kolhert coming back here at this point in time, but does he sign in Ottawa? Go back home to Sask?

Perhaps it was already talked about, ie.  Kohlert not wanting/willing to resign here, and that would be why he was left open.

 

Poblah better step it up.  Etienne I want to see good things out of.

I'm not saying Kohlert isn't a loss, but do we seriously think that we have a massive hole at NI receiver now?

 

Realistically, we are probably in a position where we could get away with starting 4 imports at receiver. 4 OL, 1 REC, 2 defensive spots and there you have it.

 

Our depth at NI receiver is fine. Stellar? No. Adequate? Yes.
