Tim Burke show tonight

Man....anyone who is suicidal or has some serious personality issues shouldn't listen in...man is this depressing.  Burke actually admitted that "deep down" he knew that they were a bad team after the second game of the year.  So he knew they were going to suck, and did nothing....sigh...

Bob just said that Burke has one year left on his contract and has not heard from management as to what is going on.

  • All this after he says he knew the team sucked from game 2.... maybe the guys who packed it in were just following his lead.

  • Burke said that Bomber management has identified 3 non-import OLs that they will be targeting this offseason, via trade or free agency. He said one of them has been out all season with a concussion.

Burke - five guys packed it in during the season and definitely by the end of the season and weren't earning their paycheques.  He won't name them though.

They made a bunch of players moves and brought in a new OC. How much more can you do in-season?

I hope I'm wrong but I feel like Matthews and Simpson were among them.

Kubie Kid gets the first call.  I met Kubie at the Grey Cup in 2011. Cool dude.

I'm suprised to hear that, b/c he seems like a bit of a goof just to hear him talk when he calls in to this show.

Burke toeing the line on tampering by mentioning they'll be going after the 3 NI OL who might be FA's this offseason.

Sorry what happened to Sims Walker?

Doesn't sound like his knee will hold up.

Too bad- all kinds of talent but bum wheels will do that- like Reggie Slack.

What's the deal with MSW's knee? Any ideas on the 3 NI OL?

He said one had a concussion all year...

That would be Woodruff with Montreal I would think.

Woodruff signed a 3 year extension with Montreal in December 2012. Did Burke say trade or sign as a FA? Thought he said trade...

Pretty sure the guy with a concussion is Tsoumpas.

He signed a 3 year extension after the 2010 season so the timing seems right.

Tsoumpas played 6 games this season though.  Burke said that guy with the concussion was out all year which would suggest its Woodruff.  Would love to see Tsoumpas in a Blue and Gold uniform next season though!

Except Woodruff signed a 3 year deal in December, so it's not him. You gotta remember that these are just casual comments being made by Burke, they don't need to be taken so literally.

Pretty sure he said they'd be targetting these guys through trades and FA.
