Posted October 26, 201311 yr comment_26654 I was very impressed with him last game in Toronto. Looks to have good hands and could be a great possession receiver. He's 10 years younger than Terrance Edwards. I say we let Edwards walk next season and Miles is his replacement.
October 26, 201311 yr comment_26656 I like Wallace Miles.... Burke said he's a very cerebral type receiver, nothing flashy physically but plays a good game within the game. If this is true, that's much more important to me than a 4.3 speed.
October 26, 201311 yr comment_26660 It said in the paper that Miles is an FA after this season, for what its worth. Its too bad he got injured at training camp because it kinda derailed his season. I remember standing with Buchko at training camp and I asked him if he was excited about any player in particular and he mentioned Wallace Miles. Maybe he was on to something.
October 26, 201311 yr comment_26662 I think TE's time as a Bomber is coming to an end. They surely won't protect him so either Ottawa will scoop him up or he may dealt but, if he isn't I would hope he's back for camp next season, he could still be very productive in a limited roll with the team.
October 26, 201311 yr comment_26736 Miles definitely earnes a spot at camp next year and a decent contract offer (same or a bit better as he did score a td and hit 100 in limited time)
October 26, 201311 yr comment_26743 I thought he was really good in the limited time I saw him in TC, definitely think he's worth another look next season.
October 28, 201311 yr comment_26883 Edwards stated earlier this summer that he'll retire a Bomber. So either we bring him back for another go 'round (...I say likely...) or he'll retire.
October 28, 201311 yr comment_26884 Edwards is still that good veteran presence that everyone is all up in arms about the Bombers not having enough of. Maybe he's not the #1 receiver anymore but to me he's still got a role here.
October 28, 201311 yr comment_26886 Many would argue he never should have been a #1 receiver in the first place...
October 29, 201311 yr comment_26888 well that's debatable, there were a few years there when I don't think he was too out of place as the teams #1.
October 29, 201311 yr comment_26892 Edwards was in the unenviable position of being the #1 receiver after Milt retired. Big shows for any receiver to step into and live up to.
October 29, 201311 yr comment_26893 Edwards was in the unenviable position of being the #1 receiver after Milt retired. Big shoes for any receiver to step into and live up to. And now they're expecting to walk Miles in those shoes.
October 29, 201311 yr comment_26901 Edwards I think said its up to the Bombers to pick up the option if not he would probably retire.
October 29, 201311 yr comment_26902 Edwards will be back in a similar role as this.season id imagine... expected to be the anchor if the qb cant connect with the other guys and to draw defenders.away.
October 29, 201311 yr comment_26911 Edwards was in the unenviable position of being the #1 receiver after Milt retired. Big shows for any receiver to step into and live up to. Big shows indeed
