Of all of Hellebuyck’s stats this year (#1 in wins, GAA, save %, shutouts, games and minutes played, goals saved above expected, games with save % above .900, % of games with save % above .900) this might be the most astounding - of his 51 starts, he has given up one goal or less in 21 of them. Imagine going into a game thinking that to have a chance at a win, you will need to basically shut out the 3rd best offence in hockey right now. How he is not the runaway leader for the Hart Trophy right now, especially given his team’s overall success, is beyond me.

If he don’t win hart and Jets finish first overall it’s bullshit. Same with the Vézina. Engrave his name on both this year

Once again as usual Jets overall getting no consistent respect in the hockey pundit world. They'll say the Jets are impressive but until they make some noise in the playoffs pretenders label remains intact.

I get it, I agree the Jets badly need to go deep into the playoffs to change that label but on the other hand show a bit more respect than Jets are doing well top of the league but lets get back to the Leafs.

Imagine if the Leafs were top of the league for most of the season ugh the noise moreso then the high level of noise already would be unbearable. They'd be mapping out the SC route and suggesting everyone else is playing for second.

Yes, its the market, blah blah blah.

I’m ok with tsn not pumping our tires cuz that’s the kiss of death.

i think last night was a playoff like game. Jets dominated with speed and solid d play. Frustrated Dallas a lot and Big D Couldn’t keep up at times and they certainly were trying hard to do that but just couldn’t. Jets didn’t let them. If Jets play like they did tonight game 1 2 3 4  whoever they play (looking like wildcard team) so Calgary Vancouver. Maybe Anaheim who knows just yet, they win the series 4 0. Dallas couldn’t generate cuz jets didn’t let them. Helle made some big saves but honestly, I think we won with Comrie playing tonight. That’s how shutdown they were defensively.
