Auston Matthews is out .  Lowry and Ehlers didn't practice yesterday.    A nice Christmas present would be beating the Leafs.  We owe em payback.

Appleton takes a high sticking double minor. 2 1. 

Tough to get a double minor high sticking penalty when you’re getting hooked and trying to get your stick free and play the puck.  I’m not an Appleton fan, but that one is tough.

They reviewed it apparently so yeah definitely confusing. 

The fight kinda gave the leafs some mo. Jets still playing well but leafs definitely better since the fight. 

Don’t like the way Fleury went down.  Jets likely short on D for the 3rd.  Couldn’t tell from the replay, but it looked like the Leaf tugged his jersey and he went down awkwardly.

Scheif makes it 3-1
