He does tho. They gave him a modified no trade clause. How can someone be angry about a guy choosing wife and son. That’s crazy.

Not sure what you mean. Who is "angry"? And you make it sound like he's choosing between life and death. That's crazy. It's just a different city he has to play in. That's the job.

Some insight from Sheldon Kennedy on what Bowman has done since leaving the Hawks.  https://thehockeynews.com/news/sheldon-kennedy-of-respect-in-sports-group-reflects-on-his-work-with-stan-bowman

What is interesting to me is why the Rangers Management would try to work out a deal with a team like the Blue Jackets that apparently was on JT’s no go list? And then try to see if JT would waive it to trade him to the Blue Jackets?  And then when JT doesn’t waive it they get a bit ornery and threaten him they will put him on waivers. Looks like the Rangers Management were trying real hard to make JT look the the bad guy here. Not a big fan of how players have so much control on how GM’s can do their job but GM’s can’t have their cake and eat it too when they sign players knowing their no trade clauses.

I kind of disagree. Why? Because Josh and Trouba were a legit 1st pairing. And since then we have lacked that true #1 pair. Demelo is ok but Trouba and Josh were tremendous together. But we also had underrated Toby and buff as a pair also so kinda stacked back then.

Red wings center Dylan Larkin has apparently requested a trade to a contender. I’d move some things for him. Perfect 2c behind Scheifele signed also.

At 28 years old and 3 straight pt/gm seasons on a weak team, I'd hardly say he is past his prime.  Although he has requested a trade, he has a full NTC, so he'd have to approve the destination.   The big risk is his $8.7M price tag for the next 6 years, taking him to 34.  This would also block Lambert's potential development as a C.  Even if Larkin approved a trade here, I'd prioritize Top 4 D over 2C.

Get Dylan than flip him (plus something) for a top 4 D. Three way trade sort of thing. I love playing make pretend NHL GM on a Sunday. :)

Can't fit Dylan into our cap unless you move Ehlers who is an upcoming UFA and then make a trade for him, in all probably would void any move to the Jets anyway.

In some not surprising if paying attention recently news.

rangers trade kappo kakko to Seattle

Rangers have gone from Stanley Cup contenders to everything’s for sale mutiny is on hand in very short order.
That’s a shame to quote Jerry Seinfeld eating his popcorn.

From the Sportsnet staff:

'To say the Nashville Predators‘ slow start to the season is confusing, after a summer filled with notable acquisitions, would be an understatement.

Just ask general manager Barry Trotz.

“Sometimes you can’t explain the unexplainable,” he said Thursday when asked by reporters about the Predators’ 9-17-6 start to the year'.

I'll take a stab at explaining it.

You can't buy a Stanley Cup. You can't simply buy high priced talent expecting them to gel automatically and integrate with their existing talent  and work as a well oiled machine.

I know it's petty but really hoping the Predators continue to crash and burn.

No sympathy here.
