When did beating the Sharks become easy peasy?

  • I hope he ends up in Arizona. Will be fun to watch Bettman explain why tomorrow's star is playing in a college arena with a 4,500 seat capacity and no fan support.

  • Yes, that definitely explains their lack of scoring............. Hellebuyck has been fine, with very little help in front, as well. The issue is that the stars up front went MIA. Again, I feel li

For Winnipeg to clinch:

Finish 3-1-1 or better regardless of outcome against Calgary or Nashville.   They can clinch as early as Saturday, with regulation wins over Calgary and Nashville, and a Nashville loss in any fashion to Carolina on Thursday.

IF Winnipeg beats Calgary clean tonight, they need only one more win or a Flames regulation loss to eliminate the Flames.

IF Winnipeg wins in OT/SO, then they eliminate Calgary with a combination of 3 points earned or Calgary points not earned.

IF Calgary wins in OT/SO, Jets can still eliminate them by finishing 2-1-1 or better.

IF Calgary wins clean, Winnipeg can still eliminate them by finishing 3-1.

This is the only scenario I am concerned with.  The next 3 games are at home (including tonight).   Beat Flames.   Then look to beating the Preds.

6 days to go and tons still up in the air:

Only division set is the Atlantic -

1. Boston (will play #8 seed)

2. Toronto (will play TB w/ home advantage)

3. Tampa Bay (will play Toronto)

Metro -

Any of Carolina, New Jersey, or NYR can still win the division. Losers will play each other in the 2 v 3 series. Winner plays the #7 seed.

East wildcard - Fla, NYI, Pit, and even Buf (needing tons of help) are in the running for both wildcard spots.

Pacific - Vegas and Edmonton can still win division. Edm has tie-breaker if they finish tied. LA and Seattle still battling for 3rd, Sea has a game in hand and tie-breaker if they finish tied, loser will be #7 seed.

Central - Col, Dal, and Min all still in the running for division title and possibly even #1 seed in West (with help). Losers will play each other in the 2 v 3 match-up.

West wild card - Wpg, Cal, and Nas still in play for the #8 seed.
