March 14, 20232 yr comment_624023 You would think the Canes will be an ornery bunch considering how their last few games have gone. It would be nice to add to their woes at least for one more game.
March 14, 20232 yr comment_624030 Stastny also not playing for Canes tonight. Pre-Game Standings Central DAL 87pts MIN 84pts COL 80pts Wild Card EDM 80pts WPG 79pts NSH 73pts CAL 73pts Edited March 14, 20232 yr by FrostyWinnipeg
March 14, 20232 yr comment_624034 Jets going streaking now. Jets beat the Jerks earlier so let's do it again but this time in North Cackalacki Line up looks strong. Don't like Wheeler tho. So slow. Wonder if Dubois ever comes back, they just bump wheels with Barron and Lowry. Connor Scheif Nino Ehlers namestnikov Dubois Barron Lowry Wheeler 4th line of 3 of the rest. Apples on the RW. So center and LW. Edited March 14, 20232 yr by Goalie

March 14, 20232 yr comment_624040 79 points. 67 games. Gotta think 94 96 guarantees you a spot. So... 15 games. 30 potential points. Get them all? We really good. That's not gonna happen tho... Win 10 of last 15 = 99 points (in for sure) Win 9 = 97 points. (Probably should make it) Win 8 = 95 points.( its close but 96 would be better Win 7 = 93 (tough to say here) Less = Probably not 10 wins guarantee a spot Probably. Anything less? It's gonna be tight. To add to the Canes woes Andrei Svechnikov is done for the year with knee surgery.
March 14, 20232 yr comment_624043 Morrissey is apparently a game time decision, but I think the fact that he was on the ice this morning is a good sign.
March 14, 20232 yr comment_624047 If we could get at least 1 more point tonight, that would go a long way for the teams confidence, heading back home to face Boston.
March 14, 20232 yr comment_624048 Looking at final games I would say Nash has the toughest sched remaining(6-12). I have both WPG and CAL roughly the same(9-6) down the stretch but after Florida my blinders are awfully positive Edited March 14, 20232 yr by FrostyWinnipeg
March 14, 20232 yr comment_624062 Jets looked alright from the bit I saw. They almost tied the game. Hopefully they get equalizer in the first part of the 2nd. 3-1 now... *Sigh* Edited March 15, 20232 yr by captaincanuck12
March 15, 20232 yr comment_624065 Mark Scheifele's line didn't play another shift in the second period after giving up the Jesperi Kotkaniemi goal with 11:45 remaining in the frame. They've been on the ice for all three Hurricanes goals. - Murat
March 15, 20232 yr comment_624066 D zone turnovers have been the difference. The Jets have also been on the wrong end of the bounces. Big time.
March 15, 20232 yr comment_624068 All things considered... 4 out of 6points on the road isn't too bad. I thought for sure this team was going to go 0/6. Got some hope down the stretch run
March 15, 20232 yr comment_624069 And we have to keep in mind, the team is playing without Morrissey, Dubois and Perfetti.
March 15, 20232 yr Author comment_624073 A lot of ugly mistakes last night - many by players who should know better at this stage in their professional careers. It's interesting to see how this team ostensibly expects the goalie to bail them out on the regular. That attitude needs to change.

STL, CAL, PIT, SEAx2, WPGx2, NYR, TOR, BOS, DAL, VGK, CAR, MIN, COL) to finish off the season then good on them. Only a couple of "gimmies" there.
