Why would the unveil the statue during the preseason?

Wondered the same thing.  Why not do it at the home opener or the first Saturday game?  Anyway, the statue looks great.

Weather, availability of certain people probably had some part in the decision to have it done in the preseason.

This! Temps are expected to drop this week probably best to get it out of the way while the weather is still tolerable to be outside for long periods of time.

Temps will drop for 2 days then go back up. I heard snow not really expected until later November even

Anyways tho.... now that Ducky has his statue... who else gets one?

For what? I mean, I know there's not a lot to celebrate in Jets history, but he was only here a few years, and yes he had a great rookie season, but other than that, what's "statue worthy"??

They can't build a statue of Bobby. Please no.

agreed...that legacy is beyond tarnished at this point. I agree that the WHA team is likely the best team Winnipeg has ever seen, but Bobby was clearly a horrible person.

True that but if Chipman invited him here just 3 years ago for an arena salute then its not out of the possibility he would do this too.

what I hate most is that it's too early to determine who in the Jets 2.0 is statue worthy (personally I would nominate Buff, or Scheif, or Ehlers)
