If the CFL and TSN came to some sort of agreement to switch to a pay-per-view model (above the normal TSN subscription) to make up for gate revenue, would people pay it?

I would, if it meant no more Rod Black. Apparently we are losing Chris Cuthbert to hockey. Damn,

So just to recap... the Argos go over the salary cap and not only do they not get fined/penalized but they get rewarded with an extra territorial pick...

Rest of the league subsidizes their losses while they pay Jim Popp $600k a year...  got it.

I looked at that article and I couldn’t see how much over the cap they were. Did I miss that or was it not listed?

“The CFL franchise cost to operate is somewhere between $25 to $30 million per year, multiply that by nine it is about $250 million to fund each of the clubs on a yearly basis, that would be my estimate. So if you’re asking for $150 million, it’s a reasonable ask,” Smith said on CTV Ottawa.

Honestly I think they're waiting for another league, like the NHL to go first so they can take lessons from that.

That would be the prudent thing to do.

Well you'd be a fool not to learn from other experiences, however I wonder if they aren't waiting too long to copy cat another league rather than working on their own strategy in the meantime.

It's a time to be proactive and yes things are constantly changing, but you gotta have some kind of plan that gets updated regularly... That's what every other business and institution is doing right now.

I doubt there's another league as reliant on gate revenues...

They are probably waiting for some way to make Toronto work as a hub city... however Bombers did just call and say they are expecting a season starting in September

They said the same thing to me a few weeks ago when they called. I think it has more to do with holding onto our money for as long as possible, which makes sense to me.

I converted my credit into a Bomber Store gift card.

Miller said he needed my season ticket money for global scouting...

there will be NO season this year and the players are making the decision for the glue-head commish

I'm going to be very surprised if there is a season as well. Just don't see how they get it done.
