September 29, 20195 yr comment_430072 Pipkin botched it. If the Als get a field goal BC has 60 seconds left to get a field goal to win it.
September 29, 20195 yr comment_430073 that's the debate... take the points, or go for the kill shot. Crazy that BC can still make the playoffs if they win out and Edmonton loses out (which is entirely possible)
September 29, 20195 yr comment_430074 Leave it to The Great Pumpkin to totally **** it up. What a loser for a qb. All The Great Pumpkin does is lose. Edited September 29, 20195 yr by SpeedFlex27
September 29, 20195 yr comment_430075 That is crazy, and after next week it could look even more possible.
September 29, 20195 yr comment_430076 Khari should know that to win a game you never play The Great Pumpkin.
September 29, 20195 yr comment_430077 Sometimes you take the points that are staring you in the face.

September 29, 20195 yr comment_430094 Those BC vs Montreal uniform colours on the tv last night were mesmerizing
September 29, 20195 yr comment_430106 I actually didn't mind the call. They only needed 1 yard for a first down, 2 for a TD. They'd been running the ball down BC's throat all game long. If they score the FG, they give the ball back to BC with a minute left to score a FG and they know something about coming back in the last minute of games. The execution of the play was horrible though.

There was no disguising what was about that happen on that play! And with Shiltz having run the ball just fine all game, why Pipkin comes in was a head scratcher too!

The play call wasn't the problem. If Pipkin just gets the ball and falls forward, they get the first down and the win. The problem was the exchange of the snap, which should have been automatic.
September 29, 20195 yr comment_430126 Obviously The Great Pumpkin was extremely nervous when he came in & screwed up. Needing just a yard it should have been a foregone conclusion. There are a lot of qbs who don't like short yardage. They don't want any part of the physicality of the position. Some, like Chris Streveler embrace it & others don't. I remember watching Dom Davis being tentative as a short yardage qb with the Bombers. He didn't like the contact. Pipkin seems to be another. However, if that's the role on their team then they have to put their fears aside & just do it. Looks like Khari should have kept Schilz in to get that first down. Big mistake. September 29, 20195 yr comment_430128 I am happy we got Big Chris for short yardage.......... or will that eventually become Mcguires' job ?

September 29, 20195 yr comment_430132 Yeah, that was the correct call. The odds of being able to drive into field goal range again are slim. Their best chance to win was getting a first down at the one.
