Stastny was gonna have to take a short term discount deal to stay.. Rumors are 5.5 or less, due to cap issues. We were a damn good team without him. Had over 100 points without him.

Exactly.  That was always the issue. Wanting to stay is great.  Giving up millions to stay, well can’t begrudge the player on probably his last contract. 

Interesting that Vegas keeps screwing with us though. 

 

if Paul does go somewhere else jets should not worry. Can circle back at trade deadline if they want center depth and see who’s out there.

That’s stupid money if true. That’s a massive over payment in money and term. It will be nice when Vegas catches up to everyone else

 

Hutch is officially gone

didn't we lose Montoya to the panthers too so I guess we're getting a new goalie and an ECHL player is probably going to be promoted...that's my guess but I know I'm wrong

Hutch was gone a long long time ago in reality. Jets basically told him to **** off after he told them the same.

Hitch would be fine here but I think the relationship was broken and he wants a chance, even a narrow one, to start. 

Your going to see more insane contracts today, and in a few years the owners will be crying lock out, seriously if @Goalie is even close with that number that is crazy.

Jets are one of the best teams in the league with more players coming up through the ranks. We’re fine.
