Why did Ross get such a short look?

Actually, Bauming has speculated that its because this is Strevelers first pro action. Ross has had pro reps. Streveler has not.

For so many years, we’ve seen young QBs put up big numbers in the preseason. Collaros, Harris, Mitchell even Reilly but I can’t remember the last time a Bomber backup QB actually excelled in any preseason game other than one fluky Marve game. Streveler is legit and probably the first real QB prospect this team has seen in over 10 years.

He's good.

And that fumble aside, this is a QB made for the CFL with the ability to both run and pass accurately

Hope he gets more playing time this year.

If Nichols stays healthy then the backup qb will see less than 20% playing time. That's how it's always been with MOS. His philosophy is to play the starter a lot.

His and the coaches from every other team in the league unless a huge like impossible to come back from blowout. NFL dont put the backups in much either. Starters get paid.

Radio only makes opinions on how a lot of the Bombers did tonight tough but against what the Esks brought here it seems like we might have some battles at some positions, sounds like some guys had great games.

Head Coaches don't worry about possibilities. They live in the here & now. If they have a competent starting qb then he will play. They'll worry about injuries when they happen.

Sounds like Ross is Brinking it all over the place. Bit disappointing.

Disappointed with Ross’s performance but man Streveler stepped up in a big way.  We’ve all seen some lack lustre performances from our “prospect” qbs and I refused to get my hopes up for Streveler.

Comparing this to the last year, the Esk rookies looked about twice as good as the Bombers, but not this year.

Bombers look to have brought in some very competitive young talent this year when rookies are playing rookies
