May 11, 20187 yr comment_329355 Dariant Durant received a $70K signing bonus. The #Bombers have asked for it back and Durant has said no. #wfp via Jeff Hamilton
May 11, 20187 yr comment_329356 What a giant piece of ****. Sorry Darian I always felt people gave you a bad wrap but you're now on the trash pile of humanity.
May 11, 20187 yr comment_329357 well just shows the character of that guy eh?..what a loser...I sure the Riderfans site is just loving this up haha
May 11, 20187 yr comment_329358 The fact that he up and retired is one thing, but not even mentioning it to the team first AND to flat out steal the bonus money he got for doing **** all.... what a piece of human garbage.

May 11, 20187 yr comment_329361 Actually thier site is down...typical Tho I did post a comment on Durants site...wonder how long it will stay up???
May 11, 20187 yr comment_329363 I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt... you never know what might come up unexpectedly in someone's personal life that would affect this decision (maybe an unexpected family illness, etc)... but to not even inform the team is certainly suspect...

May 11, 20187 yr comment_329366 Certainly this is a classless move by Durant, but the whole deal is still on Walters and I would hold him accountable for this incompetence if I were upper management. It was Walters who went so tight in the negotiations with Durant that he pissed him off, and here is the result. And yet that money they spent in signing bonus is the difference in signing Muamba, Westerman, or some other impact Cdn talent. When a few more of Walters missteps come to light, such as the decision to cheap out in key areas such as Oline and DB, Bombers could be in really rough shape this year, particularly when they play Nuefeld on the OLine and Nichols is seroiusly hurt by week 5. Well at least Walters will be happy because now he can show management that he will operate the team way under the cap for the year. Should be the best year of all for savings under the cap for the Bombers which is extra money they can return to the BOD.

May 11, 20187 yr comment_329369 At least the last memories of Durant are him skipping five yard passes of the turf.

If he had time to type up the retirement announcement for his website, he had time for a ******* phone call... Never liked him, hated the signing, always was a suspect character.

May 11, 20187 yr comment_329373 Pretty sure thsat if this goes to the courts and his signing bonus for "playing" this year would be determined to be paid back as it is a breach of contract, and he has decided not to play... Sadly...my comment has been removed from his page haha

I don't see any free-agent vet QB other than Drew Tate - and this guy doesn't live and breathe football. On the positive side, we may have gain some cap space. let's go sign Henoc. Is what I would have said if this was April 11th.
May 11, 20187 yr comment_329380 Looks like everyone is on the same side for once. I hated the Durant signing. I hate the retirement, the timing, the loss of $70K, and the Bombers finding out thru social media. What an unprofessional piece of trash.
May 11, 20187 yr comment_329381 Bright side of things they have should have about 150k to spend on something during the season.
