That LeFevour has been getting the amount of reps this week means that the coaching staff has little confidence in Davis and he will probably be released as soon as the season is over (like his career).  This has to be Lankford's last kick at the cat. He has to show in this game why he has been kept around or be likewise gone. He's a likeable guy with smarts and great speed, but he has to show that he is better than a lot of other receiver options out there.

  • Good grief! for the best part of the last two games we haven't had a real quarterback...and you want to criticize the receivers?

  • We thought Nichols had a calf injury but it turned out he was pregnant all along.  Who are our team doctors and how did they not catch this sooner?

  • Neufeld   has been playing  well.  Walby and others think so anyway.  Got to keep Nevis/Poop in, it's the key to the wins coming up for the Bombers.  Corney and Okpa's remarkable speed,

If they spent all week saying Nichols was starting, and then start LeFevour, that is going to piss a lot of people off.  How many casuals wouldn't buy tickets if it was LeFevour at the helm?  Probably not a small number.  I understand it is gamesmanship, but this team is also battling to regain a lot of good will that has been lost due to Joe Mack, IGF problems, etc and struggling to maintain relevancy with the Jets being back.  You don't want to slap all your fans in the face now by lying to them.

Let's say the Bombers have known all along that Nichols won't be playing. But keep saying that he will be ready so that Edmonton mainly prepares for Nichols rather than Lefevour.

Should consideration for the fans trump the smokescreen strategy?

Hole in your theory - prep time for Lefevour is 10 minutes.

Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming{ Most positive sign I've seen all week just now — Matt Nichols making quick lateral movements and full-speed hitch steps as he delivers the ball. Throwing intermediate and deep. #Bombers 11:30 AM - Nov 11, 2017

He made no mention of Flanders .... hope the omission has positive implications after Fridays practice nick

None of the analysts have mentioned Flanders, hard to believe they don't recognize his potential contribution to this game, if healthy he should be a key target today.
