Yes Kyle Connor, Perreault got injured last night extent not known Lowry also didn't play, Connor scored again for the Moose and all reports are that he doesn't belong in the AHL

Connor 1 goal tonight but just as important(more?) Lemieux 2 goals tonight.

The kids are looking good on the farm. Hopefully Connor uses this chance to show he can do it at the NHL level now.

I hope Connor is great so that when Pereault comes back, Connor stays up and we can have a 3rd line that is actually a good 3rd line and not a better 4th line.

 

Sounds like Connor skated with Little and Laine today.

He's getting his chance. Now, what will he do with it?

I suspect he looks a lot better with the team not collectively pooping themselves....here's hoping!

I dont think it will backfire. The entire team is better.

I would have given Helle the next two  games...  then theres 4 games in 6 nights - split those

At least we'll find out which Mason we've got for the next two years.

I certainly hope so.  It won't be good if he has another rough outing in front of the hometown fans.

And no, I'm not saying it was all his fault.

Mason did himself no favours but playing him here is the right move.

Two things imo:

1. Prevents Mason from getting further in his own head and accepting a backup role. Shows him the team still believes in him to be starting material and gives him a chance to claim the job. AND
2. Helle stays high with winning three straight games, so if we lose he comes back into the net with confidence because the loss didn't fall on him.
