January 30, 20178 yr comment_245754 The Las Vegas franchise must select one player from each presently existing club for a total of 30 players. The Las Vegas franchise must select the following number of players at each position: 14 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders. The Las Vegas franchise must select a minimum of 20 players who are under contract for the 2017-18 season. I believe they will have the same odds as the 3rd team in the lottery.
January 30, 20178 yr comment_245756 I mean I'd take Matthias, Lowry, Copp or Dano ahead of Hellebuyck... especially if Raanta, Fleury, Bishop, etc are exposed Edited January 30, 20178 yr by Floyd
January 30, 20178 yr Author comment_245759 So with max 23 players on the club that leaves 7 players on the side? What to do with them? Edited January 30, 20178 yr by FrostyWinnipeg
January 30, 20178 yr comment_245760 I think Raanta would be a great pick up. If I were the Rags, I'd trade Lundqvist and keep Raanta. Bishop would be good but costly and MAF I wouldn't be too interested in from a Jets' point of view.

I can see deals where Chevy might say something like, take Matthias (ex.) and we will trade you a 3rd and Lipon (ex.) for a 5th. They need to stock a farm team too. They should take Stu and send him down to mentor on the farm and eventually moving up! edit ... they can also trade a player they draft can't they? Draft de Haan (ex.) and trade him to us for Petan and Armia (ex.). Edited January 30, 20178 yr by Ducky
