It's goalie interference if it goes in. Buff pushed the goalies pads hard with his stick.  No goal.  You can't push the goalie in the net like that

I understand that but that wasn't the call the ref made. Also, one could argue Buff was playing the puck. Moot point though, game, set match for our Jets. Tough loss.

  • at least you've been able to go to some games, and they've won more at the games you attended, I've only been to 5 Jets games in my life, and they've lost four out of the 5 of the ones I attended.

  • #NHLJets Tuesday opponent has made a trade - Tommy Wingels won't be in #SHSharks lineup tonight, he's been dealt to #Sens   This game is in the bag.

  • Seems like as good a time as any to get Hellebuyck back in.  Don't want to leave him on the bench too long now.

You do know how percentages works right?

If you are comparing this year, you are using an extremely small sample regarding Pavs.

For example, if he stops the next 10 shots taken at him, his sv% goes up to a .902.....stop the next 15 and it is .906.

Goaltending has been poor for the Jets this season and if it were better, we would be in the playoffs....no question Hell, if any one of our goalies had won two more games, we would be in the 2nd wildcard spot!!!

Right call on the no goal. Seen that 1000 times. Very bad call on the penalty shot.

Pav was back to being Pav again with his 840 save percentage. You take that penalty shot away which probably should have been stopped... why not just help trouba out and play the puck pav... it was 10 feet from you but... still let in 3. Not blaming pav here. Starting him was a terrible coaching decision

Goalie's 4th Law

If the Jets win and Helle isn't in net, no kudos to the goaltender ever.

If the Jets win and Helle is in net, goaltending won the game.

If the Jets lose and Helle is in net, it was the Jets fault because they played poorly in front of him.

If the Jets lose and Helle isn't in net, it is always the goaltenders fault.

Regardless of whose decision it was, what were there options? Play Helle and Hutch and keep letting in 3 or 4 goals in the opening period? What would you have done?

They weren't letting in 3 or 4 goals every opening period. Helle was around league average save % until two straight pulls torpedoed it.

Pavs hasn't looked at all like the answer. And this is when he'd be most consumed with playing his best hockey. And he can't. Because he isn't good enough.

Heard a caller saying no matter how bad Pavs is he looks like an NHL goalie. What does that mean? Probably that Pavs is very active and athletic in net. But he's no Hasek. We want a boring goalie. Not gumby.

Should have stuck by Helle.

Hey when did Helle start sucking?  Was it after he had a great performance and then his coach benched him against the best team in the league?  If Helle has a confidence problem it's on Maurice. Playing Pavs in back to backs won't help either.

Time to go back to Helle.

I agree, start him against Chicago.

You didn't answer what you would have done? Stuck with Helle the way he was playing? Not likely. Helle wasn't average for a starting goalie...not even close.

When did he start sucking? When was he consistent? He hasn't put together three starts where his sv% is over .907 each game.

Jets D looked confused... this system is awful.

2nd goal Enstrom just gives up the puck because a Sharks player is coming in hard...  Both Jets D on one side of the ice, no one watching passing lanes to the slot

4th goal - Trouba chases the puck and then Stuart bites as well... both Jets D going into the corner, no one watching passing lanes

Lots of hesitation with Jets D picking up their man, Trouba trying to do too much now.

This is making me miss Oduya and Hainsey... and that makes me sad.

Yup... but if Stuart plays disciplined hockey, no way that pass gets through...  everyone staring at the puck like a peewee team.

We have one real defenceman - Josh Morrissey...  Trouba and Buff play 'rover'.

so why is this?

are they doing what the coachs want them to do, or not? If not, is it cause they can't, or cause they just don't want to?

Defence was much better two years ago. The team was less talented, but more fun to watch.

Maybe the team misses Andrew Ladd,  not for scoring and such, but for leadership.

Yes, I remember the discipline, cohesion and structure this team had during Ladd's tenure here.
