If the Jets make moves to protect more forwards and the end result is offering Vegas a deal to take Dano, Petan and a draft pick, that's potentially better than Myers if the intent is to not let Myers be exposed anyway.

They're still going to pick 30 players but they're giving the teams a chance to hold onto that one guy they couldn't fit into 7-3-1 or 4-4-1.
