Um, that youngster Noeller remembers him? LOL!

For those of you that don't know who "Shady" Grady Cavness was, he was a CFL allstar safety that played for us in 1972 and 1973. Also played for the Lions. He was one nasty piece of business and was accused of being one of the dirtiest players ever in the CFL. He dealt out some helacious hits and was known to gouge an eye or two as well. Dirtier some say than even "Dirty 30" Jim Young of the BC Lions. Lots of guys needed to be helped off the field after tangling with "Shady Grady". If you were a receiver and challenged him or tried to make him look bad, you damned well regretted it. Nobody wanted to play against this guy and lots of receivers had very quiet nights and disappeared statistically when they faced Grady.
