  1. I would also say I think it's just within the fans nature to blame first and foremost their coordinators, which I'm not saying ours aren't at fault, but I think throughout the league we've seen fans do this. Example, yesterday over at Riderfans, the whole Rider nation wants to crucify George Cortez for everything that goes wrong with that offense. To us, the answer is simple, it's that Sunseri has no arm and cannot get the ball downfield, and his decision making is uncrisp, and that's why Cortez is limited in what he can call for that O. But the Rider nation who look at other elements of things in Tino's game or in other ways they believe the team could move the ball, believe in that, hence why they blame their OC when he doesn't do those things. I'd say the same thing goes for here with Bellefeuille. What does concern me with Bellefeuille is that he's seemed to have gotten away from RB screen passes completely, and when your offense needs something to not only try to move the ball but also try and slow down a rush, those plays can be that thing. Now it may not work and when execution isn't happening period, it's likely because your team is just not talented enough to do it, but I do think he should've at least tried to run that play. But there are so many other factors that go into that execution besides just play calling or selection that you gotta remember before you start blaming the OC. We might also look at say Tom Higgins right now and say, damn I wish we would've hired him as HC, but if we had started out in that same 1-8 start as the Als, I'm guessing we would've been as vocal about calling for his head as the Als fans. The CFL is like that, your team can go from looking like utter crap to all star level in just a matter of games, or vice versa. But that's why you gotta let the season play out in its entirety before jumping to conclusions about head coaches or coordinators.
  2. I can see your point, but one reason why Willy is not going through his progressions and getting to scan the field like we saw earlier this season, is that he feels a ghost rusher coming even when the pressure is not there. I don't disagree that pulling him was the right move, just had to be done, but our O-line is just that bad. It is maddening that we just can't get the right crew of people up front that could at least hold up their man for about 2 seconds. I don't know though, these other teams have a lot more going right for them right now besides just their QB play. I'm not saying Crompton and Collaros haven't done well, they have and certainly are part of the recent turnarounds in their respective teams, but there is a lot more behind it than just them.
  3. And maybe Doug Berry for assistant HC- then we would have a hat trick of disgraced head coaches. Seriously, Reed set new records for dickishness in his days as Edmonton HC. I'd take Reed as a DC, it's not his fault his GM threw their all-star QB out the door and kept leaving him with scraps to coach. But look, Toronto's been happy enough with what Burke has done for them and he was a terrible head coach. I don't care what someone looked like as a HC, that's got nothing to do with how good a DC they are.

Yup this is what I was speaking of, they are defending a horse**** QB and blaming an OC with one of the most polished resumes in the CFL for it. It's comical though, if Cortez goes, they are screwed.

And that should do it. Time to cheer on the blue.
  6. I guess I'm okay with this move, but this should be Volny taking all the carries in this game.
  7. USABomberfan replied to Jacquie's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yup and why not? Game is all but in hand now. Hopefully Tisdale or Olivier-Broiulliette come out with one more pick 6 to score 44 on the Riders

I bet pretty soon they will call for Lapolice to be their head coach and then I will really start laughing.

I'm laughing that they're blaming George Cortez, that's just the silliest thing I've ever read, making an offensive coordinator the scapegoat for an awful Goltz QB under center for them.

Yup it was almost 38-7 there. Regardless of our game outcome, this is gonna make for at least 1 part of an enjoyable Turkey Day.

Yup, I don't know how anyone who's a bomber fan can't think this is funny. Haven't been over to riderfans yet today but I hope they start yelling out of desperation to put KJ in lol, I'm gonna laugh my head off if they do.

And the embarrassment continues. This is just making my day right now haha. 31-7 This Rider team is winning 0 more games this season.
  14. USABomberfan replied to Jacquie's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
24-7 And the Riders dumpster fire continues. And btw, there is no such thing as being better if the Riders won. Suck it melonheads.
  15. USABomberfan replied to Jacquie's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Montreal should've been given one last Hail Mary shot there. And those Riders are lucky they aren't down 28-7 right now.
  16. USABomberfan replied to Jacquie's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Checkdown Sunseri, lol, he's lucky his team is only down 7 at this point.
  17. USABomberfan replied to Jacquie's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
And the Als go up big time now Duron Carter atones and scores big. Boom And then Sask just got lucky, that should've been Montreal football on that play, Bowman ripped it out before he was down.
  18. We're gonna go in there and win today. Bellefeuille is coming out with a brand new pistol screen game that's gonna throw off the Esks defense and have them confused all day.
  19. USABomberfan replied to Jacquie's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Als will win the East as it is, so we can cheer for them Meantime, Sunseri effed up and the Als make em pay. Boooyah
  20. USABomberfan replied to Jacquie's post in a topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If I'm the Als I come up and load the box or take away the short passing game, Tino ain't got no deep ball capabilities.

    GD it Duron
  22. Game on in Montreal, let's make Canadian Thanksgiving Day special with a Riders loss and Bomber win. Btw, as I'm in the states, our turkey day doesn't come for another month, but I got the Als pullin this off.
  23. I know probably not a whole lot of people want to watch this, but the uploading of Bomber games continues By Quarter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBS0S1lrOVg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaCeODMd2Qo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhmxE_8M3Ls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqQ3OVW6MIc
  24. Lol wut? How is demoting Grigsby panic? Nobody said get rid of him, just to give Volny the starter job. If we decided to bench Willy because of the last game, that would be panic, but Grigsby's position is not one that he has locked down or one that he should look at as his with no competition. If you want a RB that hits the line or finds the hole with no hesitation, put in Volny who'll run straight downhill. Besides with all the rave about him being a great special teamer, that to me warrants making him the premier back here taking at least 80% of the carries. You want a back that won't go down with arm tackles, stick him in.
  25. I don't see how anyone's lost interest or a dead forum for that matter around here. That chat was hoppin too in the last game, so I don't see how that's the case at all. I admit when college football is going on, I tend to only watch the bomber games and somewhat tune out the rest of the CFL, especially on Saturdays, but no interest is lost whatsoever on this season. Right now, the team's going through the growing pains of becoming winners. Every team's gonna have bad losses like we had last game, but I would only call a small handful of games that we've had this year bad. Overall our team is more competitive than it's been in a while, and that's something fans all over the place here have forgotten. I'm with KaptCrunch, I think this team is a team that's got a great future ahead of them. My points to fix this team are: 1. Keep drafting and scouting for O-linemen, one of these days we're gonna hit the right combo up front and give Willy the kind of protection he needs. 2. Get rid of Kuale, I think he's the weak link on this defense. Dropped that pick back in week 8 or whenever our first meeting with the melonheads was that potentially could've won that game, and while he has talent, he just doesn't get that talent with no discipline is useless. He's the Ndamakung Suh of the CFL. 3. Get a bigger more powerful runningback who just runs straight ahead at all times. This is why I like Volny because he doesn't cut around and stuff, just runs straight ahead, but if he's not the answer, get someone else who runs with his style and puts the ball on the ground 0 times. I think Grigs is okay on some runs or on screen plays, but lately I've come to believe he should not get the vast bulk of the carries. We need an Avon Cobourne here.
