If you look at the teams in the league who spend to the cap... playoffs certainly aren't a guarantee. It's not about spending to the cap... it's about managing your cap. Jets have young players on ELC deals who when the time comes will get big raises.. spending 5 million extra bucks right now is great but... it guarantees nothing. But it could guarantee that in a couple years you don't have money for ehlers Laine Morrissey. Let's look at Chicago. They have like zero cap... next year panarins new deal kicks in... they are going to have to move players out and teams won't just help them because... they moved bickell last year... but had to throw in teravainen. That's not good cap management. Getting rid of a bad contract with a kid who has talent. Would sure suck to have to lose Connor Roslovic Laine Morrissey Ehlers etc because we don't have cap to pay them.

Overall I'd give it 8 out of 10. Bayley vs Charlotte was good with an interesting clean ending. Reigns vs Owen was very good and happy Owens won. Neville vs Swann was good. Neutered but good. Cena vs Styles was incredible The rumble was a letdown tho. Dillinger at 10 was nice. But reigns at 30 eliminating undertaker... almost completely ruined the entire show. Orton winning is dumb but probably means Wyatt wins at EC. Buy reigns at 30... that right there is what you call ruining reigns for good. No Balor Joe Nak or any real surprises was very disappointing

The Commentary made it drag even more than it did. It's interesting to me how they pretty much ignored talking about Laine. I also think the shootout was ruined. I'd rather see all of them not just 2 divisions... the only guy who seemingly tried to entertain was Brent Burns. Only guy who tried something different in the shootout. It almost seems like you aren't allowed to have personality in the Nhl. I get them hyping mcdavid and Crosby but man they lack personality. Copp is a good bottom 6 player. He's not a guy I'd be protecting tho. If Vegas takes him... oh well. If not... that's fine but I feel people are basing this on his last couple games. He's a good player but he's not a top 6 player. So.. I'd leave him exposed. I mean Cmon.... how many bottom 6 players you wanna protect? Isn't Lowry and Armia enough? I'd protect Dano over Copp.
