Adding Kyle Connor and maybe a younger D man like Poolman does make the average age younger. Thor Pav Stafford bring the avg age up quite a bit so by removing them and replacing them with younger guys yeah the avg age will drop.

There will be lots of 3rd and 4th line players and maybe a couple 2nd line guys available but the guys making big money all have no trade or no move clauses and will be protected.
