Salary cap concerns would be the reason they might release him. Salary cap concerns would be the reason they might release him. Salary is about the only reason they couldn't trade Morely but if he is released I believe he will be scooped up as there are many teams that could use his depth. I hope he can remain a Bomber till the end, he has served them well.

White Cop Shoots Black Man, Charged With Murder
Here is the video released from the dash-cam of the police car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmlbnrFa_B0 From this video it looks like a standard traffic stop until the guy takes off running. Apparently car was not his, not registered and not insured. Real issue was that he had warrants out for his arrest and thus he decided to make a run for it. Big mistake. Notice his brother in the passenger seat is well aware of the "law of the land" and stays put even after his brother is shot. White, black or yellow the cops down there generally give one warning to obey and if that order is not followed bullets are likely to fly. Excess force is standard operating procedure. This event is nothing more than an everyday occurrence in the "land of the free" but one of the few caught by video. To date the number of civilians killed by police officers in 2015 stands at 319. To put it in perspective that is more fatalities than England has produced in 100 plus years of police/public interactions gone bad. http://killedbypolice.net/

Bombers Sign INT OT Zebrie Sanders
Looks like Zebrie Sanders was just following instructions on that play. Apparently the strategy of remaining in your stance is not that unusual in College ball when the D jumps off side. Unfortunately his line-mates failed him. Example

Can we please take a vacation from Rider fans on vacation
This. I live in a Rider heavy area and I just don't engage (for the most part ). No desire to feed their egos further and make me look small and bitter. Besides if they feel the need to rock all their Rider gear in far off places around the world, doesn't that come off as attention seeking and insecure? If so then I say carry on Rider fans. Nothing could clearly identify them more as "hicks" than wearing that garb poolside in Barbados. The Beverly Hillbillies move to Gilligan's Island.

Darren Cameron's blog on the CFL draft
For some odd reason that first paragraph reminded me of a Penthouse Forum letter....obviously I was disappointed with the climax of the story.

CRTC to require cable, satellite companies to offer basic package, with $25 cap
Starting March 30th Telus will begin to charge for over-usage of their "unlimited Internet" customers who download more than their plan quota of data which can range anywhere from 30-500 GB/mth. depending on the plan a customer is signed up for. No idea how much data is involved in streaming a single CFL game but it makes me quite nervous and I expect the other national ISP's will follow their lead in screwing Canadians over once a new A-hole has been probed and established.

Alberta, Taxes, and Socialism
Those are actually wood boilers and there are 3 manufacturers of them in Manitoba. Not usually allowed in cities or towns but great for acreages.

Bombers draft & FA camp prep
Good point, if Bryant gets seriously injured I'm not sure this O-line will do much better than last years edition. An upgrade at Center is great but it's not going to help them much out on the wings.

Anyone live in a condo?
That would be some damn good advice. I was lucky enough to by my house in 2007, and not long after that the housing prices in Winnipeg really took off. Not the nicest place but it's in a great neighborhood (Portage/Ferry area, south side of Portage). Now, after a little bit of work the house couldn't possibly go for less than 180k if it hit the market. I can remember feeling gouged when I paid 91k. Had no idea how lucky I really was. My brother is buying his first home now, same area roughly but north of Ness. He has to borrow from my folks to get the 10% minimum he needs for CMHC. He's lucky to have that luxury, I have no idea how the next generation of home buyers are going to make it work, especially if their parents can't help them out. Truth be told the value of your asset has probably only increased in "real value" 5-10% during that time period if at all. The degradation of the currency by printing non-stop bank notes is the main cause for the staggering inflation in house prices. It's a classic bubble scenario. As for the next generation of home buyers, salaries should have doubled or even tripled in the same time period to match the currency devaluation but in fact they have been falling in real purchasing power since the early seventies. They just need to convince their bosses to pay them in gold or platinum rather than paper and they should be okay.

CRTC to require cable, satellite companies to offer basic package, with $25 cap
Wiziwig the biggest sports streaming site was officially shut down on Jan. 1 2015 by the mufti-national powers who wish to control the Internet. Thus eliminating the best option for live streaming CFL games over the Net. I have no use for television but if TSN is included in the "skinny" package I might have to sign up for the duration of the football season.

Just remember that the real estate bubble has already burst in the US, and has yet to pop in Canada....but it inevitably will.

Assimilation (We Are Borg?)
It can start with one chief who recognizes the cycle and has the cooperation from his band council to implement the changes necessary to break it. Too many chiefs are filling their pockets and failing their people.

Assimilation (We Are Borg?)
You know what,I'll take a stand and say residential schools were a not terrible idea that was just handled really poorly. Should a just assimilated everyone from the start then there'd be a lot less problems with reserves Clearly, you're not too familiar with the stated aim of the Residential Schools either. Their primary purpose was to eradicate First Nations culture, to get rid of "indians" once and for all. Explain to me how that can ever be "not a terrible idea"?Because assimilation is not a bad thing. Could have had just a whole bunch of Canadians rather than the government protected racism that currently exists. Signing treaties hundreds of years ago was an easy solution at the time but they have long lasting negative effects that manifest themselves in this day and age Seems to me the best thing would be for people to stop being pieces of **** and treating people differently based on cultural background. Assimilation is just the people at the top saying "you should all be like me". It's like Nazi-ism lite. no assimilation isn't a one way street, it goes two ways. Stop separating people into different groups and we can just all be Canadian and treat everyone equally. Treaties however just make sure racism and different groups being treated differently continues to exist. You are trying to grossly oversimplify the situation. You can't say "just stop separating people into groups" when people naturally self-identify already. Furthermore, the treaties were a legal document. This wasn't a bill of sale for a used BBQ written on a napkin -- it was legal title to land we now live on, land that is now Canada. The government has a moral obligation as society built upon laws to uphold the treaties; or at least the spirit behind them. No I'm not over simplifying. This is how the problem gets solved. I know full well what the treaties that were signed were and what the intent was. The problem is that they are legal documents that are guaranteed by the constitution of this country, and that's a huge problem and the #1 reason why most of these problems exist. When they were signed it was seen as the easy solution, put the natives out of the way and throw them a few trinkets every now and then and let them live their traditional lifestyle. Problem is that in todays society it is a terrible solution and completely unworkable. The best solution IS to stop treating them differently and make them all Canadian and treat everyone equally. When you have such a skewed number of impoverished people on reserves it is safe to say that the system is broken, but where's the push to change a broken system? You even bring it up and you're labelled a racist. Too much blame gets thrown at the feet of the government of Canada and they're expected to fix it, but they can't fix it unilaterally, self determination and all that, so basically it's just "give us more money because residential schools! abuse! ugly history! white guilt!" It's those treaties that are holding things back. LOL Well that doesnt seem right. The natives are native to this land.... that about as Canadian as you can get. Do i have this right? The white man comes here and brings their traditions and pretty much just throws the natives and their traditions away and now you want to make them Canadian? Odd but alrighty then. The list of "peoples" that have been treated well and not violated by an invading conqueror is extremely short. Human history is a non-stop bloodbath from the apes on up and is likely doomed to carry forth until the last of the species perishes. Nature of the beast is pretty ugly when viewed through a politically corrected lens.

You know what,I'll take a stand and say residential schools were a not terrible idea that was just handled really poorly. Should a just assimilated everyone from the start then there'd be a lot less problems with reserves This is true. People back in the day were observing the same "Indian problem" we have to this very day, that is how best to make them into productive/happy citizens of Canada. Unfortunately the residential school solution was misguided and can now be judged in hindsight as an abject failure. Not sure evil intentions were what they had in mind at the time as they viewed the American solution of mass genocide with distaste. Because of common British roots the same residential school solution was tried in Australia and New Zealand with the aboriginal population with similar poor results. Finding workable solutions is not always as easy as identifying a perceived problem.

Forget Sheets, if the Bombers want to take a flyer on an old running back they can wait until Martell Malett kicks loose from the Stamps roster as they have about 7 imports competing at that position. Even better if Keith Toston ends up being cut. Regardless the Bombers need at least two import RB's on the game day roster this year and I pray to God that Marcel is smart enough to utilize both of them and not play favourites AGAIN!

Wowsers. Landing anywhere other than BC seems unexpected. I guess after missing out on Glenn, Lefevour was the best option available for the Als. Hard to comprehend what Wally has up his sleeve but this is a good move for the Als.

Exactly. Walters offers $150k. Desjardins probably counters at $350k. Aside from reading Rider forum's why do people have this impression of Desjardins? The Bomber's won 5 free agent auctions, did they pay too much? After all they beat Ottawa all 5 times. Taman has the highest paid Canadian receiver by a mile, Popp has highest paid receiver and Wally is paying huge for a pair of LB's yet Desjardins is the only GM ruining the league with out of this world contracts? I don't get it. Can't say for sure as there's no evidence that Desjardins was after any of the players that the Bombers signed. Ottawa signed SirVincent Rogers before the Bombers signed Bryant so it looks like he was their priority for Import O-lineman. Some comments from Walters suggested that this was also the Bombers grading of the two. Anyone know what $$ Rogers signed for?

Do you mean Migs was incorrect when he said that Durant would be ready to go for the playoffs last year? Can't believe it, blasphemy! He was throwing in the dressing room! He was ready!!! Do you mean Migs was incorrect when he said that Durant would be ready to go for the playoffs last year? Can't believe it, blasphemy! He was throwing in the dressing room! He was ready!!! He was throwing darts....DARTS....40 yards downfield hitting receivers in stride. I wish the Bomber stadium came with glory holes that we could see what we want to see on game day. I'll admit that I don't know what glory holes are and I'll also admit that I don't want to think about what they could be.
