  1. At least those two showed up for practice, i didn't see any other players practicing anything. O'Shea must have been sitting in the Nissan, cause a good coach always attends practice.
  2. I think paying an import receiver $175,000 and up experiment is over and will be noted as a failure in the CFL annuls. Moore, Price even Dressler are not worth their pay cheques. Import receivers may not be a dime a dozen but I believe they can still be purchased at two for a quarter.
  3. Nick Moore is just too damn feisty, seems to play like he has a giant chip on his shoulder. He might remain healthy for more than two games at a stretch if he didn't go to war with the D-backs every time he catches the ball. Clarence knows how to catch a pass, fight for a few yards then go down, after which he always apologizes for making the defender look bad.
  4. Speaking of roster moves when did the Bombers add Cam Jefferson to the PR? Never heard of him.
  5. Another scenario, I believe Hurl has shown enough in the last couple of weeks to warrant some trade value if Muamba does sign here. If O'Shea loves Hurl, than there has to be at least one other coach that thinks the same.
  6. Good point, sometimes higher interception rates go hand-in-hand with higher completion rates. Dunigan was a good example of that.
  7. Please God, don't allow Marcel to be the one to guide this kids destiny.
  8. Thus the reason they were running the "3-headed monstert" last year, they gave up on that concept way too early imo.

Oh wonderful! This just seems like the perfect time for all of us to join hands, kneel down and pray for all good footballie things to happen to our beautiful team. I'll start. Jesus loves our Bombers this I know, so the....PUT DOWN THOSE ******* STONES NOW!!!!
  10. Riiiight.... Crompton fluked out 7 victories heaving hail Marias....and nobody caught on.

If he is a Christian, I would be worried. Why? You've never heard the claims about Christians being thrown to the lions in ancient Roman times (it never actually happened but lots of people think it did). And Henoc is a devout Christian. That's ridiculous, it says so right in the Bible. It happened right after Charlton Heston wins the chariot race....sheesh.
  12. Ouch! So, the Bombers made one error in the selections of their QB's and some guys never forget it? You've got this assbackwards, most of us are trying our best to forget the Bombers long history of poor QB recruitment. This new one looks pretty.

Oh I have no doubts at all that he wants to.... He wants to make his second rounds of the CFL before he retires. Oh I have no doubts at all that he wants to.... 14. Currently Crompton is on the 6 game IR and Cato is listed on the Disabled list, not sure what that means.
  15. I'm intrigued to see more of Mike Willie or Veltung if Moore is out. I'm intrigued to see more of Mike Willie or Veltung if Moore is out. So both Veltung and Willie did not dress for the Riders?
  16. Nichols is a little more mobile and moves the pocket more than our other QBs this season. Protection, or perceived lack of protection may not be as much of an issue with him. 17. The Bombers don't need to sneak into the playoffs, they're going to march into the playoffs behind "The Man".
  18. The stumbling is forecast to continue onward, they can't even make Andrew Harris look good.
  19. Home and away left against the RB's but those will be tough to win unless Hank makes an appearance.
  20. Can't force Nichols to sign a contract. I never said that & can't figure out how you came to that conclusion. What I mean is Walters would (hopefully) find a way financially to sign him. Look at the game in BC today. John Beck is no starting CFL qb & he's 34 years old. Just a mirror image of what we had with Brian Brohm. Why would CFL teams sign washed up, old, has been qbs who never did anything as pro qbs? Fans in BC like Winnipeg aren't stupid. Beck shouldn't even be on the Lions roster & why wouldn't Buono have signed a younger more promising qb? They have less than 20,000 in attendance because BC fans are fed up. The Lions are dying. Tedford and Wally may be in danger of being ousted before O'Shea and Walters. Wally had a good run but it looks like it's over.
  21. BC can't stand pat with this QB lineup, they have to come up with something better after Lulay.
  22. Believe it or not, 3rd is a real possibility.
  23. Burris and the O looking very competent, this is going to be a difficult team for the Bombers to beat. They have a better chance in Mtl. next week.
  24. That is not unique. You pretty much described the roster management that every professional sports team goes through, every team has a structure, they aren't making decisions in a vacuum. Different managers place different values on certain positions and factors. Muamba would be comparable to Cornish in terms of Canadians playing traditional import positions, break the bank-ers. There aren't many teams paying running backs as much as Calgary does, basically them and BC. That is not unique.
