Dyakowski had some terrible games last year playing for the Ticats, getting owned repeatedly by DT's, I guess that's probably why they cut him in the off-season. Wasn't he the same guy that punked the Riders with a fake phone call claiming the Ticats had the best fans in the league?

LaPo has the best kicker in the league backing him, without Medlock I think the offence would strive for more creativity but as it is they are happy to accumulate wins the easiest way. Can't blame 'em, they all like job security.

In regards to the QB's they are almost exactly where they were last season, which seems to be their comfort zone.

He played right tackle in one pre-season game for sure. I wonder how many more years they can expect out of Bryant, 2 maybe 3 would be my guess.

I'm predicting Spooner is the real deal and surpasses both Couture and Intzandt by year's end.

Temporarily if need be, but I can't see the ratio going that way. More likely they would play two Natl. receivers. Point is if one of the young OLer's steps up this year Neufeld is expendable.

If they NEED to play 3 Natls. I'd prefer they make room at LG rather than RT. With killer DE's coming off both sides, RT is becoming almost as critical as LT in protecting the QB from taking shots.

I think Foketi, Bond and Hardrick are all better at tackle than Neufeld.

SMS will be Neufeld's downfall. Doubt they could trade him at this point.

The whole premise that Kevin Glenn is there only as a stop-gap while the "Young-uns" pick up the game is ludicrous, unless they accept a 4-5 win season (which they won't) Glenn is their best chance to win.

The Bombers really need to kick the Riders ass sideways in their first game in the new park to set the tone for the season and send their fans off on the crazy train. Nothing else matters.

Sounds like Murphy is sticking to his guns and will continue to play the Riders version of "hardball" despite the problems they encountered negotiating the contract with St. John last year. "It’s well known what we decided to do last year and take a very different stance with our draft pick (St. John) and what we going to pay and how we were going to structure it. I think that taking that approach again with Cameron Judge … and Dariusz Bladek who may or may not have felt like he was going to get drafted a little bit higher than where he ended up with. I think the offers to those guys are more than fair in terms of the market value…. If they like those offers, they’ll be in camp the first day. If for some reason they don’t feel it’s something they want to commit to or that they’re comfortable with committing to yet, well then the other 75 guys plus the draft picks that have signed will be there, and much like Josiah St. John, those guys (Judge and Bladek) will make their way to Saskatoon when both sides feel it’s best for them to make a deal. So the stress isn’t on us to get something done…. We’re going off of the figures and the numbers that we utilized last year, what worked for us to get our deals done…. The important thing to remember is we are now closer to a new CBA being negotiated than to an old one. And if you continue to pile on to these rookie contracts that have been done in the past three to five years, we’re going to get to a stopping point where you’re having to cut veteran Canadians or cut your mid-level American players in order to afford signing draft picks who have yet to prove themselves in any way, shape, or form.
