  1. With the current stable of QB’s, some teams might have to loosen their grip on the 1 qb system and consider a 2 qb system other than short yardage. For example used effectively DB and Tre Forde could be a dynamic duo for the Elks.
  2. As Matt Dunnigan would say, all we're looking for is consistency.
  3. I don't know why I'm going on and on about the Stumps but DB 's style of play reminds me a bit of how DD played and how DB would fit nicely into an offence DD would like to run. I get the pride thing, the investment thing but I also get the they don't have the luxury waiting for Maier to turn into something (see Elks as an example with TC). I've watched the CFL for some time now and I can't remember historically a time the drop off from QB talent from the top tiered teams was so low as it is now.
  4. Ehlers just had the worst shift on that tying goal for Montreal.
  5. Yea but thankfully the Argo’s suck even when they win.
  6. Interviewing McDavid, all the announcers are dressed for -20, McDavid wearing a hoodie. Lol.
  7. Being a sensitive Jet fan that I am, but boy it really feels Garrett’a not a big Jet fan.
  8. DB's comfortability in the pocket as it's collapsing captures my attention not to mention his vision to use his legs when need be.
  9. Booch not a Jet/hockey fan? Shocking.
  10. I really do think the Stumps go for him hard considering the QB’s they currently have.
  11. I love me O’Shea but I think sometimes he does things just because he knows it will piss some people off.
  12. Put it into the end zone and give the ball to Awe.
  13. Calgary has given up. Pull everybody.
  14. If you keep DB in, handoffs and pitches are the only things he should be doing.
  15. And JG I would add. Keeping him fresh in -100 doesn’t correlate.
  16. When Helle is on his game, the flexibility and positioning he shows is top shelf.
  17. Crossing my fingers not to jinx anything but I got to say if I was forced to answer which scenario would give me more anxiety, having ZC out of the lineup or BO being out of the lineup, I would choose the latter.
  18. I'll take a shot at that. My bias is how he approached sitting in the head chair. I think where his strengths lay are as a Head Coach, not as an assistant coach calling plays. I think he's a motivator, a team cohesion guy, a get good feel for getting the most out of his players, a wally Buono type coach where his coordinators do the X's and o's and he leads the team from the people end of things. He got Montreal to the playoffs two years in a row in challenging environment and I think if the little gremlin man hadn't been the GM and hadn't given the HC job to his bud (JM), he would have grown into a great Head Coach. I know professional sports is immediate results, what have you done for me lately but give him a bit of growing pains leeway and reap the rewards.
  19. My bet is Betts gets it hands down simply for the reason of how they (certain CFL media outlets) have drooled over him all year.
  20. Yea I agree with you, Sask would be horrible but at the end of the day he deserves another shot no matter where.
  21. Khari Jones deserves another shot at HC after being jobbed in Montreal imho.
  22. This is what great teammates say.
  23. We have to take care of business in the West final and after we do don't care who we play in the GC but an upset in the East final would be delicious. Relevancy here? After the East final what AH has left becomes a moot point would be delicious.
  24. I've never thought about it this way, i.e., how former elite offensive guys on the panel, i.e., Dunnigan, Stegall look at dirty defensive players like Awe, Lawrence that reminds them of how Sanchez played and how that type of consistent dirty, dangerous play risks the livelihood of players trying to put food on the table. That games of throne meme where they're shaming someone comes to mind.
