It isn’t as good. Not close. But if you compare every Jets’ team to the standard set by the 2018 bunch you are in for a lifetime of disappointment. I have said it before a few times, a season like that comes around maybe once every 30 years for a team. That team was better than the 2019 Blues’ Cup Champion team, probably better than the Vegas team that out-goalied us in the Conference Finals that year, and certainly better than the Dallas team that went to the Finals last year. You can’t fairly measure every iteration of a team against the best version ever and simply declare the current version a failure. If that was the case, then the 2019 Bombers did not measure up to the 2001 juggernaut.

What benefits them right now is to create fear and division to gain a base. If you strapped down every Republican in the Senate or Congress and injected them with truth serum I would wager that less than a half dozen truly believe the election was stolen. The rest just know peddling the lie keeps the base engaged and is their best (only?) way not to get steamrolled by the larger liberal base come election time. All that matters is staying in power, that is the true platform.
