Shouldn't it be " I fart in your general direction"? Whilst using an outrageous french accent?
  2. No matter what it is going to be an epic experience, not just an epic game. There have been other games played in the new digs but this is going to be a sell-out, its is going to be the eternal rivals (Riders), great weather, and there are some major bragging rights on the line with Bombers being the best, most likeable team we've had in years. Moreover, the game is probably too close to call as both teams have had some very good outings so far. Go Blue!
  3. Are you referring to Roseanne Barr's unforgettable rendition of the American anthem?
  4. Coupled with the most anemic offensive performance I'd seen in a while on Hamilton's part. That game was freezing! Had to drink a lot to keep warm.... And there might have been poisonous snakes in the vicinity!
  5. Das ist sehr gut!
  6. can't go anywhere in the world these days without running into bandwagon Rider fans...and if I don't notice them they notice my Bomber hat and have to make an obnoxious comment...in February when I was in Maui I was told almost every day by some ding-dong that Willy sucked and they were glad he was gone...ha ha ha ...Try living out here. Most years, it's quite sickening. As you can imagine, this year has been better. Having said that, yesterday I took heat in the local WalMart for my new Jets hat, hoodie and Bombers tee.....Rider fans, Stamps fans....a horrible combo out here. what the **** to flames fans have to say about the Jets? ******* Flames over achieved in a big way and managed to draft 4th overall... And that was the highlight of the Flames' year. They're going to suck for at least a couple of years- their drafting has been pathetic and their prospects are all mediocre.
  7. Its a cycle that I've seen several times before. The running game is pronounced as outdated and irrelevant and the teams go pass-happy until a Mike Pringle or Charlie Roberts comes along and suddenly the running game is rediscovered/
  8. Love the Royal Blue uniforms, and hate the idea of camo uniforms- that would make the CFL just like US college games where fundamentalist religion, militarism and sports are all conflated. That's the American Way. Canada has had enough military glorification and adventures in support of wars that have no relevance to us.
  9. I vote for all of the above, plus mouth-breathers.
  10. The only team who can argue about the Bombers not deserving to be #1 might be the Esks because not did they beat us, but they laid a whuppin' on us. Its gonna take a bit of time to live that one down.

Reminds me of the adage about too many chiefs.

On the coach's show on OB tonight, O'Shea was asked about the herd of quarterbacks on hand. He was pretty circumspect but did volunteer that they were impressed by Portis.
  13. The guy came here in peace. Yes, he did, and my post was in humour- I believe it was accepted as such.

Maybe a trade? Hamilton? Toronto? Montreal?
  15. Smith being out of the game fills me with.........happiness, particularly because the turkey did it to himself. I believe it was Einstein who said that the two most common elements in the universe were hydrogen and stupidity.
  16. I'll take an unknown like Brohm over guys like Brink... Yup. Brink has been tried and found wanting. As soon as Montreal picked him up, they were outed as as desperate.

Ummmm. do the name Mason Mills ring any bells?
  18. You might want to start working on your list of excuses as to why the Riders got trounced: injuries, lack of practice time, rabid hometown fans, etc, etc.

There is a saying that as we age, we tend to remember how good we were and forget why we quit. The quickness, stamina and bounceback just isn't there any more even though we can feel in the moment that we are as good as we were. When /if he gets into daily reps, Garcia will remember.
  20. too bad about Kemp-hope its not too bad. Good news about Portis looking like a keeper- we may have the best set of backup QBs in the league. We still need to have a good running game, a breakaway receiver and a kick returner who inspires incontinence among the opposition tacklers.
  21. We're going to run into a bad stretch sooner or later, so I'm guessing 10-8.
  22. By all means, insert Watson with the understanding that if we get two consecutive quarters playing time out of him we're fortunate.
  23. I said we were a well-coached 3-3 team... and that our QB has the 'it' factor. There's your two main differences. This is all true and not nearly as 'negative' as some posters want to make it out to be. Look at the roster - our talent level is very similar to last year... exception being the DBs and our kicker. And don't forget about the most important change we've had (apart from the coaching): the starting quarterback. Not only has he been very good, the team has responded to him,
  24. Good news. We will need all of the hands on deck for this one.
  25. Anyone know how well Durant has fared against an Etcheverry defence in the past?
