  1. There are several takeaways from last night's game and none of them good. -Nichols is not good or consistent enough to take the team to the Grey Cup. At this point, he looks as damaged as Willy did in his last days here. -I have had my doubts about the Bomber coaching and O'Shea in particular and this game confirmed my worst fears. O'Shea is "a players' coach", and in his case this means that he is endlessly and blindly loyal to "his" players. That is going to doom the 2019 Bombers and probably O'Shea's tenure as head coach. -I have suspected that Walters probably ordered O'Shea to trade Willy and this QB situation sure looks like another such situation. -What the hell has happened to Bighill? Wilson was way more effective, but, like Nichols, he is allowed to flail around out there without consequence -This team will probably stagger into the playoffs, and lose out in the first round under Nichols. Probably (ick) to the Riders. -I am dreading the Labour Day Classic and my brother-in-law's glee once again. -I thought we had the right stuff this year to challenge for the conference lead all season. Wrong. -The Riders, Stamps and Alouettes had the acumen to trust backup quarterbacks. O'Shea doesn't. I have said my piece about O'Shea and the prospects of the team under him, so to avoid sounding like a broken record (remember those?), I will cease from stating that O'Shea has to go. He has made my point for me abundantly.
  2. Occasional fumbles are gonna happen to running backs, particularly when they are fighting for extra yards. We will live with it. Thank God for Harris- without him this edition would look even worse than they do.
  3. It pains and nauseates me to admit it, but for two games now, Fajardo has outplayed Nichols. Ugh.
  4. It was Nichols who made all those crappy tosses from the outset of the game. It was Nichols with the happy feet and panic reads.
  5. While we don't know for sure if the fault lies with LaPolice or Nichols, the evidence sure seems to indicate that the problem is Nichols.
  6. Not looking forward to the Stamps coming to town.
  7. And O'Shea will continue to wet-nurse Nichols until its too late.
  8. God help us, Fajardo looks way better than Nichols
  9. And to add insult to injury, Riders are taking it to the Tabbies tonight
  10. As angry as I am at Nichols and as deserving as he is of all the flak, apart from Harris, there were no standouts tonight. Bombers are trending in the wrong direction.
  11. No- that will have to wait until the season is over with a playoff loss.
  12. I think we need to accept that this is not a Grey Cup team as presently constituted. We will make the playoffs and flame out once again,
  13. The defence was not good, but it was another pathetic effort by the whole team-all three parts, and it falls on O'Shea.
  14. Okay, you could see that coming. And its all on Nichols and O'Shea.
  15. This game has showed that when push comes to shove, Nichols is not the quarterback of the future. O'Shea will not see.
  16. Jefferson has saved the Bombers' collective butts
  17. Its also clear Argos are outplaying the Bombers
  18. Argos deserve this game moreso than the Bombers. A
  19. Bomber collars are tightening....
  20. Kongbo looking real good so far and he's not even up to speed.
  21. If the Bombers do not have a comfortable (15 points or more) lead at half-time, that would be bad for them. The Argos could look at that and take heart that they just might win the game and come out firing on all cylinders.
  22. To deal with stiff competition, no doubt.
