Game turned on those 2 consecutive TDs in the 3rd Q. Lousy coverage by Fogg on consecutive plays then the fumble for the score. Game over at that point. Plenty of blame on O and D for the loss.

I agree about the game v Calgary - we always lose there. I think we will get our usual split vs the Riders.

Some bad coverage for sure but Ellingson is a premiere WR. Total team loss, imo. Soft D and too many 2 and outs from the O. Nichols wasn't great but not terrible either. Ottawa just kicked our ass today.

Re:#2 I would really like to know exactly how many points the respective Ds have given up. Those points may include points given up by STs and turnovers for TDs. Still it does show our D is improving.

I wonder if Rod Pederson is finally going to acknowledge Rider fans booing last night. He chastises Bomber fans for doing that and praises Rider fans for never booing the home team.

What I liked about Lapo and the offense yesterday: 1. Stuck with Harris and the run game and xudnt get too cute with fancy reverses etc. 2. Took points, (i.e. field goals), on the road instead of 3rd down gambles that at have given TO momentum if unsuccessful. Hopefully lessons learned from the BC debacle.

Just stunning why Jones thinks that Carter at DB and Hurl at LB would be part of a good defense. aside from a poorly thrown ball Carter intercepted he was beat like a rented mule all night. Hurl was just his usual pathetic self. Jones arrogance will cost the Riders big time if he doesn't change his thinking.

I was expecting a loss but I have to admit I was pretty pissed off at how they lost, with yet another defensive collapse. However, upon sober reflection I'm not as upset. Streveler shows some potential and our O looks strong. Still not happy with. the secondary but let's see them against a more ordinary QB. What worries me is the Reilly and BLM are in our division so getting to the GC will be tough if past trends continue.

TBH, I took a quick look at those rankings and realized without reading the article that the Bombers rank was due to Nichols injury. Haven't given it too much thought since. Riders ranking did seem a little high considering their poor preseason. Wonder if Jamie Nye influenced all the other voters

I just found out from the FP that Coates broke his foot while training prior to the draft. There is the big reason so many WRs were taken.
