its volume based as well BO had far and away most carries, so production by an import could be very comparable...Brown in Edm had for example 75 less carries, and also had a higher yards per carry average, behind a garbage oline, and literally no passing game. Oullette had 82 less...and .2 yards less per carry Butler was closets to carries....260 to 235...and a lesser yards per rush, but offered more in passing game A quality back with volume...behind a good oline would offer more than adequate production...possibly more with a commitment to the run....for 1/3 the price if a rookie...and there are lots out there....Brady is great and hope he kills it again, and cant see him not.....just thats a lot of cheddar for replaceable work...and not a ratio need Dont get me wrong...glad we retained him...just hope the price doesn't sacrifice something elsewhere...so curious to what Oullette will be getting, and if he was hard lined in th sand at over 160k for an import then I would take BO over that as paying an import anything over that is as dumb as Hardricks 235K

I'm sure they have a plan, and know what they want, and where to allocate so will trust in them that they don't allow some of the same things to creep in again due to a lean and shallow roster....and also have the belief we still have and will use available money to retain Schoen....sure the market is the market...But in the grand scheme...the G.M's are in control of the market too....unless someone decides to go rogue

we in the same camp here.....I had given ZC the benefit of doubt being injured for the 2022 Cup...But last yr kind of gave me that sense too...now tho with Strev in the mix....could be the difference maker if we get back...Dru didn't have that in him to work a scheme like we did with ZC and Strev

yeah...Its not about being spoiled....My opinion...and mine only is that we could have paid an import back a third of that, and got excellent production, and have solidified our Dline, and likely another Dback or linebacker, and been a deeper...stronger team..... Was it the team feeling the need to sign the local guy?...I don't have that answer, but I could care less where a player came from to be honest...and now does this have an effect that is why we signed Thomas...Kolo on value deals, Already have Bennett on a rookie deal and will be seeing heavy does of them all yr basically just taking u a roster spot...Backed up by a Schmeckle....and WJ having one of Haba/Garbutt or a diff new recruit as his running mate...and nothing behind him? and also hinders us bringing back a BOLO?...Then to me it's totally not worth it....Juice def not worth the squeeze...Hopefully Walters has some crazy magic going on to allow us to not have to rape Peter to pay Paul

Having only 2 receivers who were healthy didnt help tho....plus rostering another one not 100 percent in Mcrae and not even putting him on the field, and having a healthy BOLO dressed...and seeing no use either..as we gimped around out there....oh yeah...and we had an import fullback on top of it all....good god Glad BO is back and will be key to our offence again....not denying that...but is that price worth it?...if it means we sacrificed elsewhere...and was that a peak season and he won't replicate it again?....and if he misses even 2023 numbers....does it become a sore point?....guess we will see

A Streveler and BO combo to run and grind out games in final 5 mins or so of a game tho will be a tough nut to swallow for some defenses now tho...and be very fun to watch

My question why only 2yrs?....he wants to try and re-set market again??...team should have pushed for a 3 yr...substantial increase in yr 3 when some big money will be off the book, and with some guaranted money to sweeten the pot... Hopefully we find a way to have an Import back on roster to put out at same time, and to give him a breather/change it up.....

factor in he was probably the worst tackler on the team as well...he shuld have been on the pine the last 3rd of season and playoffs...but staff was blinded by the picks

yup....I agree....it's a poor spot on your defense to pay higher...well in that range...i'd say a 135-145k max there should offer you excellent value for a vet
