If Regina has the flagship then HMCS Roughriders is in for some cruise à la Costa Concordia. Within the next 3 years it will lose most of its linemen, experience quarterbacks, RB's along with many LB's and DB's. With all that happening who knows who else will want to jump ship? This with likely a new First & Second Mate.

Also not appropriate. You might be over reacting. The joke involved the jersey number, not the man and most of the people here do respect him.

This is the way it will come down in Regina: The Board of Directors has announced that General Manager Taman will no longer be with the team. He has been relieved of his duties. Further clarification will be provided within the next two weeks. However, General Manager Taman will continue to receive his salary for the foreseeable future.

I would not surprise me at all. I use to like the station but some of the pain they have brought upon themselves. I use to watch the game on TSN and listen to Irvin on the radio on away games. Now they don't even try to be within reason on the sync. As for the Coach's show, it's really only a program of commercials interrupted by a few short calls. Just like when the CBC lost a whack of funding professional sports was one of the first things to go.

If you go into the Daytona 500 driving a Corvair with only 4 out of the 6 gears working whether you get Bush or Gordon to drive the thing you will still come in last. And if your crew has a 800HP Hemi in the garage and refuse to use it then you deserve to lose. The guy who decided a passing game was the way to go should be the one on the block.

I'm not sure how much of a shot we have at a consistent pass rush. IIRC, the Lions have only given up 3 sacks this year and Lulay has the best outlet in the league in Andrew Harris. I think we have to focus on containing Lulay and keeping a man on Harris at all times. Maybe we can jump in front of one of his dump off passes. If the Bombers assign Hurl to cover Harris I see Harris getting 200Yds or so. The Bombers have a long and not that great history when it comes to containing running QB's and I don't see anything changing tonight. BC never send a guy to block Hurl. They find him a nuisance back there, a fence post they have to go around.

I guess it was great making fun of the Riders when they were just playing bad on defence but now that they have lost another good QB it feels more like kicking a wounded dog. Not much fun watching a team lose because of injuries.

I guess if wanting to see the Bombers finally start to win is an agenda, then I have an agenda. It's pretty obvious you have an agenda. You're not quite at the point of making stuff up, but whenever Brohm is brought up, you make excuses for his lackluster play and whenever Willy is brought up, not only do you downplay his abilities, you go as far as padding your valid points with a bunch of nonsense just to try and get extra jabs in at the guy. I literally saw you downplay Willy's numbers in the pouring rain and criticize him for not being productive and then when someone pointed out that he was playing in a torrential downpour, you ignored it entirely. Then the next day, when talking about Brohm's performance in the same game, you let him off the hook because of the weather even though it wasn't even raining when he played. If that's not having an agenda, I don't know what is. On top of that - I keep seeing you mention "exciting" ... is Ricky Ray not exciting? Because that's the mold Drew Willy fits into. Is he Ricky Ray? No, but he's getting there and that's the style of pro QB he is. I feel like you don't like Willy because he doesn't dance around and get you out of your seat. The most exciting thing to me is winning, I don't care how the guy gets there to do it and the truth is, Drew Willy can and will be a winning QB in this league when they give him the best possible chance to succeed (which will basically be when our OC stops making dogshit play calls) I'd like to see Drew Willy succeed. But right now I believe he's over-rated, and probably not as good as you think. And so I disagree with you, partly because I think he has already been given every opportunity to succeed. Like I said, it'll be interesting to watch Winnipeg vs BC and Willy vs Lulay on Thursday. Tedford, an exQB, had them practicing a high-tempo offence right thru training camp. So far this season that is much more fun to watch than anything Bombers have come up with, designed, as I said, around the 3-step drop pocket style passer. One thing that's being forgotten here is Willy has not been getting the protection the other quarterbacks are getting. Look at the first game. He got reasonably good protection or at least time to get the play off and he was as exciting as any. In the other four games the Oline was not good but Willy still managed to get get some decent stats considering. Given reasonable time he can do serious damage.
