Bombers Cut Chevon Walker
No idea why he was signed. No idea why he got as many carries as he did. No idea why he was constantly ran up the middle. A series of puzzling moves.

Bombers add 5 to practice roster
Never should of been brought in to begin with, but I suppose this is good news.

Lawless on Matt Nichols
We could have been stuck with Brohm. Think we almost beat Calgary and Edmonton with Brohm playing? Nope I didn't think so either.

Henoc Muamba signs with Als
Pretty sad part of the deal is that your not good enough brother has to play on the same team. Maybe they sign cauchy to a big deal next offseason. He is terrible.

Last chance saloon ...
Whens the last time Winnipeg won a big game? 2011? 4 years. I don't expect a win in BC. I'm hoping to be proved wrong though.

Lirim Hajrullahu
Yeah, that'll absolutely help his confidence....good call. We're in the business of winning football games and he's now cost us at least two. **** his confidence. Couldn't agree more. Why are we suddenly treating players like fragile babies? They're professional athletes who are paid to make plays. Lirim's performance was unacceptable. I wouldn't cut him but he needs to take a seat on the bench. If he can't respond from being cut, how will he ever be able to respond with big kicks?

Not that I would ever stick up for Westwood. But the weather conditions change dramatically late in the season and into the playoffs. It was perfect conditions today. There's really no excuse to be that bad. Especially with a playoff position on the line.

Was Westwood ever 1/5 with a missed convert? I don't think so off the top of my head

Brutal play calling costs us again..
I don't mind passing in that situation. Nichols was hot. Try to go for the win or at the very least get them into position to kick a closer field goal. I thought the play calling was marginally better today. Not at all good enough but not as terrible as previous weeks.

Still 13 points left on the board. Unacceptable. Whyte goes 3/3 with a 53 yard field goal goal to win the game. Why can't we get that consistency? You pay the kickers to kick 1/5 and a missed convert isn't close to good enough.

He's been terrible all season. I've never actually seen a performance so bad. 0/4 kicking field goals and missed his sixth convert of the season. Brutal.

Depth chart up
Haha if we contain Flutie tonight we will have a chance. That was the exact joke I was going to use
-
Depth chart up
One fan on their game day thread said if they get pressure on Drew Willy they'll win the game. Shows how in tune they really are with the game

JFG placed on 6 game IR
Too bad. He's been one of our few sure handed receivers this season.

O'Shea believes Bombers better than their record
Nope if ANYTHING they're worse then their record indicates.Worst point differential in the league.

Taking a realistic look at the Bombers record in the last 24 seasons
You know what.. It doesn't bother me that we haven't won a Grey Cup in twenty four years, what bothers me is that we havent even been remotely competitive in the past eleven seasons. We've had two winning seasons in those eleven years, and in those two winning seasons we had 10 wins. a 10 win football club is an average team in my eyes and we've barely even hit that level of mediocrity.

Week 11 - Tor.@Ham - Edm.@Cal. Monday Sept. 7
Yep. Every team seems to recruit/develop good backup QBs except for us.Beck is 34 years old. Not much more to develope.

Brohm to start LDC?
Of course he knows this. I expect the pressure, both internal and external on Brohm this week will be huge. I'm sure he knows his career as a professional football player hangs in the balance. I really struggle to understand why we kept him ( and to a lesser extent Marve ) into this season. One or both of them should've been released prior to camp. It's so funny because hindsight is 50/50. Prior to this season starting Brohm was almost universally praised for being a solid back up based on his play last season and there was even some discussion whether or not he was going to be in the NFL. Marve was thought of as being a future starter in this league, largely based on his win in Calgary last year. Both quarterbacks looked good last season, and the general consensus out of training camp was that we were set at the quarterback position. Obviously this season Brohm has looked terrible, and Marve not much better but no one felt uncomfortable about either of those guys backing up Willy coming into the season.

NFL Cuts
Meh.. Likely not worth the money. One good year, had 9 sacks in the previous three seasons. I wanted him, but not the end of the world.

Dunk: Chevon Walker to sign with Winnipeg
Chevon Walker is essentially Nic Grigsby. Terrible move.

Week 10 Aug 30 Sask@Ott. (Tor 15 Edm. 38)
Looking forward to the Toilet Bowl Classic between the 0-9 Saskatchewan Rough Riders and the 3-6 Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Should be a doozey!

Run Based O?
We don't have a running back that is remotely close to as good as Charles Roberts was. The guy was truly special to watch. Heck we don't even have a quarterback that can throw right now to keep the defence honest.
-
Fire O'Shea
Lack of adjustments, and undisciplined penalties for a team coming off a bye week, playing at home is completely unacceptable.
-
The Myth of Mike O'Shea
I didn't think the Bomber o-line played particularly well but Marve's pocket presence is a huge work in progress and quite frankly it makes the Bomber o-line look worse then it actually is. Whenever the pocket even started to collapse Marve would put his head down and start moving around. The difference between a decently mobile quarterback like BLM and Marve is that BLM is constantly looking for his read and target, even when he's forced to move the pocket, or run out of the pocket.
