Injury Update - August 9
Hinse...and...Sorenson...and...Jones in Edmonton...and...? Mitchell, Myddleton... But... I didn't see the 'currently starting' part... You could include Gott I suppose. But I think finding a Cdn OL shouldn't just be completely ruled it - it can happen.

Injury Update - August 9
Got any in mind? This is the key point. There's one Canadian OL who changed teams via free agency in 2014 who is currently starting, that's Andrew Jones for Edmonton. He'd probably be 3rd or 4th on our depth chart at guard. There were like four or five OLs that changed teams this year Andrew Jones would be starting at RG for us on Tuesday... even if Neufeld is healthy.

Injury Update - August 9
Glad to hear Knapp is healing... but also hope that means he is inserted as RG not back at tackle Surprisingly, we have enough starting Canadians to play a import OL and not really miss a beat.

I'm just super pumped to see that preppy Duck Dynasty pic.

Botched hold on a FG cost them the win against Calgary. Bad gun snap on the 2 yard line cost them a TD last night. Costly penalties & turnovers. The Cats have a suicide tendency to do stupid things at critical times. Is that just bad luck or do some players have character issues that Austin has to weed out? This is happening too much for it just to be a coincidence or an isolated event. Some players choke under pressure. Bombers 2010

GDT: Saskatchewan @ Winnipeg
Agreed... but the real benefit that I see Messam brings is that you can field two backs and not affect the ratio - let's say Grigsby and Messam - two totally different styles and keep defences off balance. Basically, that's what happened - Bombers started shutting down Ford so Sask just changed to Messam, took some time to adjust... by that time it was too late. Too late for what? Offense doesn't hand 2 TD's to the Riders and it's an easy win. Too late to put the game away...? I don't know - we just ran out of time in the game before the bombers really found an answer for Messam. I'm sure we'll have something prepared for Labour Day though

Running Game
Since every thread seems to have been taken over by Grigsby... Found his scouting profile on sporting news... The Grigsby we have now is not changing any time soon. Time to move on, unfortunately. Strengths: Is versatile as a runner and receiver. Shows good burst when hitting the hole and runs with nice body lean. Has the agility to make tacklers miss and pick up extra yards. Uses his hands well when catching the ball in the open field. Also has the instincts to gain extra yards when running after the catch. Weaknesses: Size is a concern, which could limit him to a third-down role in the NFL. Has struggled to stay healthy when asked to carry the load. Lack of speed limits him when trying to get outside. Doesn’t have a second burst to run away from defenders. Struggles to pick up blitzes because of slender build and can be driven backward by pass rushers. Bottom line: Grigsby consistently picked up big yardage and moved the chains when given the opportunity as a runner and receiver at Arizona. But he lacks speed and tends to hesitate before attacking the line. Grigsby will make a nice late-round selection, as he has the talent for third-down work. Expect to see him as a backup in the NFL.

I wonder if anyone shakes loose in Montreal soon... maybe they'll give us Bomben for Brohm and a pick- Esks @ Awful Als / Tabbies @ Leos
Nice catch... but then Carter lets up and starts running out of bounds instead of fighting for more... Als are doomed.- Esks @ Awful Als / Tabbies @ Leos
Chad Johnson just went on vacation...- Roll up the sleeves.....
Great job picking up Brackenridge last game, buddy.- Labour Day
We play Toronto on Tuesday and then long break until Montreal... then its back to back Sask. Short turnaround against a rested T.O., we might be in tough... but we should be at least 6-3. Then its 7 of the last 9 against the west. Huge games against the Riders... those games will make or break the season imo. Wylie has his work cut out for him.- Our new jersey
I'm just excited that Oct25 pin looks like retro jersey day...- Roll up the sleeves.....
Either way, if the OC has faith in the running game, then we don't make that call with two minutes left. Even with all the mistakes, it still felt like we could win the game when Willy came back in with 30 seconds left.... bomber fans haven't had that feeling in a long time. Glad to have it back.- Lost is two words
Totally not making excuses for us... but we still had a chance until that line of scrimmage call. To me it was bogus, I've seen Ray and Burris push that 'line' far more than Willy's infraction. A soft call and then burning the next play as we were just breaking the huddle - ridiculous. That was a completed pass to mid-field with 0:21 on the clock... never know...- Riders unveil their "Signature Look" jersey
If we have a mostly blue on blue jersey with gold helmets... could be really nice- Lost is two words
Still comes down to the fact that MB's run game works more for a bigger back - doesn't have to be a giant like Messam - but it can't be a guy who jukes before the line of scrimmage. Even with our OL, a guy like Messam would have blasted for at least positive yards each play - that makes a difference on at least three or four failed first downs. MB's game went well with Mallett and Walker... really surprised we didn't go after Mallett actually- Moving On -- Looking Ahead To Tuesday
Westerman never actually said he wouldn't sign... he just wanted to sign later or after this season, trying to up his value. Buono didn't like it and now its a stand off. - Lost is two words
