Didn't hear about the knee.... but I would say signing a powerback that fits with Bellefuile's offence is a huge priority if we want Willy to survive the season.

Chevy's contract is tied to this core - think he becomes a trade deadline buyer... He's overpaid before - setoguchi- so we know he can pull the trigger when he needs to

Still think Hickman ends up here - don't think peach is a Richie hall starter Maybe Holmes and chiles, think we sign Jonathan Williams too Don't see any of our fa as must signings - Sears would be if he wasn't injured so often

I can understand some anxiety after stubler turned into etcheverry last year... Just hoping hall doesn't become 'marshall' this year

Kane-Lowry-petan would look pretty good

Look at the teams that win cups... three 'top' lines and two very strong D pairings, with two key defencemen that play half the game. Either way, I'd keep this team in tact at deadline - maybe trade a prospect or pick for forward depth and make a playoff run this year before we lose guys to FA in a year or two. Copp and Glover are at least two or three years away... Petan and Morrissey will be here next year, maybe Ehlers and Lodge after that.

Banks to NFL until Sept, Giguere goes to EDM, Grant re-signs, Ellingson cut loose Wow, Ellingson looked like their golden child for a while... would look good in Blue and Gold Edm doesn't really need Giguere - think he's Montreal or Ottawa Ellingson just cant stay healthy. Looked great under Burris but was invisible with Lefevour and Collaros in the few times he played. Doesnt look like he's a featured player under the new offense, I said Giguere going west only because he's flirting with bobsledding and they train out there Maybe Huff will scoop him up after Sinopoli goes east

Mortgaging the future? Okey dokey. Trouba and Buff are better than Bogo... if we can afford to keep them all great. Trying to think of a team that has a 5.5 million 3rd D pairing. You're on glue if you think Petan, Ehlers and Copp will all be on the roster next year - probably just one of them, would think Petan. I think we see Morrissey and Glover before Copp ever makes this roster. And not re-signing Frolik would be just plain stupid. If forwards were a dime a dozen, everyone would roll four lines every game. Finding someone who gels with Kane and Lowry puts us in the elite of the league... you need three #1 lines to make a playoff run these days.

Bogo is playing great but once Trouba is back, he is our third best right-side D. I'd still trade him - not necessarily for Eberle but for a RW/C type I was up for it last year but trading Buff seems crazy right now, you talk about how it takes longer for D to mature and then suggest we get rid of Buff in his prime. Something will have to give... Buff will want $8 mill, Trouba likely 6-6.5 and then Toby and Bogo at 5.5... that's a lot of cap

I'm willing to bet that Stamps is in the league longer than Stafford from this point on. Could see Stafford as a nice 600 yard 2nd-3rd SB but also Stamps could easily rebound with another 1000 yard season if the OC wants... McAdoo was in love with Bowman and Guyton has huge upside I think this is a nice move for both teams - Stamps is cheaper than SJ Green and Esks have now freed up capspace
