Calgary consistently develops players that can step in and perform - throughout their lineup... they have a ton of injuries this year. What is the gap between the bombers and Calgary - is it the pockets of private ownership? One of the main things that I've seen is that guys are not cut before someone has stepped up and proved that they are better - i.e. Taylor Reed... Burnett and Smith have have had tough years but weren't cut, now they have bounced back - nice to slot in Burnett when Mayo goes down instead of a raw rookie. I think this is one of the challenges with the bomber regime - too many vets cut or left to walk - Adams, Bass, Burnett, Frederick, even Denmark... none of these guys were beat out or played their way off the team, Bombers just replaced them with guys new to the team - too much 'thinking'...

This argument makes total sense... aside from the fact that Bass was top ten in the league for tackles last year. But I guess that's because he was in the wrong gap... right?

McDuffie totally would have been worth it - he was a very capable receiver when we needed him.... would have been great replacement for Dressler if he's injured I doubt very much McDuffie signed for big bucks... probably a few bonuses thrown in Nothing wrong with having more than two returners on a team

If the Dressler injury is minor, I would absolutely DI him just to be the holder... Medlock wins games for this team Get Wolitarsky or Blaszko in to backup Lankford... Lankford and Fogg can share returns

What's very impressive is that Westerman and Nevis have 12 tackles each so far, Jeffcoat/Okpo/Corney combined have 18... to me, this shows that the DL is containing the QB and RB quite well - that and Hall is mixing up his schemes to drop the DEs - as in, moving into the modern era - so thats good I like Loffler but I never want the Safety leading the team in tackles... then again Hall is almost using him as a fourth linebacker for large parts of the game Nothing too disturbing yet - some missed but nothing as bad as a couple years ago - but LBs need to pick up their game I'd look at this again after Labour Day... I will edit this to say that Hurl is severely underperforming when compared to other MLBs this year - with a legit MLB, this defence is drastically improved... he has 1/3 tackles that Elimimian has and about half of what leading MLBs have.

Reinbold HC with James Stanley as DC, Corey Grant bumped to OC until seasons end Offseason - Collaros either traded to Toronto for 1st round pick or Ticats offer Condell huge money to come back as HC/OC... maybe they pry Noel Thorpe out of Montreal
