Sam Hurl will get reps at MLB and numerous Bomber fans will be pissed off. Multiple players will audition for the returner job. If the Riders win, their fans will flood message boards to talk about how the Jones Plan is coming to fruition.

So Wyman has an article in the Sun today about Hurl possibly starting. He of course cites the ratio flexibility this would bring. However is it hard to take him seriously when in the article he lists JFG, Gossen, Chungh, Loffler, Harris, Thomas and Normand as starters, omitting Westerman?

I need to clarify my point. No question a stronger d-line is one factor in improving a run D. My point was for those who say Hurl is fine at MLB was that when he started we had the second worst run D in the CFL. Last year, it was 6th which isn't great but it was better than it was in 2015. I don't think Hurl is good enough at MLB.

We had the second worse rush defense in the CFL in 2015 when Hurl was MLB. Why are we even wasting 1st team reps on him? If they need a NI there, use Miles who actually played better there in Toronto than Hurl ever has.

Bring on Spencer Watt. Alternative number two is to petition the CFL to have Dressler declared a NI since North Dakota is essentially Canada.

The numbers show that Kevin Glenn was 3 and 5 as a starter last season and Matt Nichols was 10-3. In my opinion, this shows Nichols was better than Glenn. Nichols averaged 275 yards per games in his starts.

Sucks about Leggett but it is 32 days till opening day or 4.5 weeks. Guessing he should be fine for July 1 and this gives us and the coaching staff the chance to smell what the Roc is cooking.

On Knox, I believe they liked him a lot last year and he was hurt for most of camp. Perhaps if he had been healthy, he'd have won the job last year?
